About this deal

Although ladies can never go wrong with literally any Burberry perfume, some aspects of varied fragrances depend on your personality and style. The more you feel comfortable and elegant in your new perfume, the greater the confidence and positivity boost you’ll get. The bergamot, cardamom, and bellflower make a quintessentially British scent, reminiscent of both a classic cup of Earl Gray in the countryside and a spicy day out in London. The Beat is the latest feminine perfume from Burberry, and in keeping with the iconic brand's ongoing efforts to stay trendy and of the moment, it is aimed (what else is new) at a young audience:

Bergamot, camphoraceous cardamom, mandarin and pink pepper make up the head notes of this perfume. These are followed by heart notes of iris, hyacinth and tea. The fragrance ends with a base of cedar, vetiver and musk. (Vetiver, sometimes called khus, is a grass similar to lemongrass and native to India.) The dominant notes here are sure to please those with a floral signature. High Price but Convenient Size

All of these vibrant tones are balanced by base notes of white musk and cedar, which provide a more subtle and calm undertone. On the one hand it has a powdery underlay, that might be the iris, which I have already smelled very nice. As a single note I can't smell it in this fragrance. On top of that, I was dying to find out what a tea perfume like this might smell like. All this made me totally curious, since I already have a Burberry in my collection that I like a lot. Oh yes, and tea I also like very much:)

And secondly I perceive the musk from the base here early, clearly and long lasting, with which I probably have more frequent problems. It is not very sweet, not softener-like either, but gives me the impression that someone has poured something into my tea. Something foreign to the species, which does not belong there. So not milk, but powdery, wadded and strange. Our selections range from timeless fruity classics to more daring spicy accords, ensuring there’s a scent to cater to every palate. Burberry fragrances are known for their elegance and versatility. Perfect for casual, everyday use, or formal occasions. Founded by Thomas Burberry in 1856, Burberry is a beloved brand not only for the outstanding fragrances they create but for its history and authenticity in production.

How I Tested and Selected The Best Burberry Perfumes

Admittedly I would have gotten this perfume not given I would give the 0 attention ... Something I must simply betonnen I am not a big fan of the Burberry fragrances. So far only one thing has really appealed to me, and that was Burberry Her:))) It just smells soo nice like sugar, berries and lots of jelly babies:D Beautiful.......*-* But the beat is a bit boring for me personally... I got the fragrance as a present from my aunt she said, a fresh variety of the whole Gourmand fragrances would do me good....If she only knew how much I avoid fresh / flowery / clean fragrances or better said hardly wear ... They just fit 0 to me + they hardly last on my skin at least half an hour and then I smell nothing more:(( Well the only fresh fragrance I still like to use and that even only for the summer is the Lacoste Pour femme:D Also that, I am slowly just too bored ... I'm just not made for all the fresh+clean scents!:D Instead, they've gone for likeable, and they've hit that right on the nail. The Eau de Parfum is youthful without loading on the strawberry candy (it doesn't smell like it's aimed at 'tweens), and while I wouldn't call it massively interesting, it's nicely done and a good fit with the Burberry aesthetic. I don't love it, but it didn't kill me to try it and I wouldn't mind smelling it all over town, in fact, I'd much rather smell The Beat all over town than any number of things. I found the Elixir Parfum considerably more tempting, in fact, it might be the first Burberry fragrance I've ever wanted to own. If you've been looking for a mainstream iris and found Prada's Infusion d'Iris too sheer and Bvlgari's Omnia Amethyste too pretty-charming, you might want to try The Beat Elixir. I was delighted when we as a team decided to delve a bit deeper into the world of Burberry perfumes. With a plethora of fragrances tailored for both men and women, we set our sights on the top 20 women’s perfumes from Burberry. The Beat is described as a sparkling floral woody fragrance; the notes feature bergamot, mandarin, Ceylon tea, cardamom, pink pepper, bluebell, iris, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. It starts very bright, with tart fruit and juicy citrus. There is lots of pink pepper (can anybody remember what perfumes smelled like before pink pepper became obligatory?) and a teensy little pinch of cardamom. The heart is sheer bluebell-ish florals, still very bright; the base is cool and pale and summery, and smoothed over with a smidgen of iris. The ad copy calls The Beat "carnal, slightly wild", but that is the usual nonsense — there is nothing even vaguely carnal about it. It smells young and cheerful and clean, and is a pretty good match with the mood of the print ad. They contain a signature London touch that evokes a warm feeling at a base note level. However, the best Burberry perfumes are a perfect balance of old-school charm and contemporary energy. Although we sense that balance in many modern Burberry fragrances, we do not deny the class and prestige of Burberry’s all-time classics.

There is also an "Elixir Parfum" version. It's a richer scent, with a heavier concentration of iris (you can smell the iris as soon as you spray it on) and a deeper, smokier tea note. The bluebell is there but less prominent, and the base, while still largely pale and cool, is warmer and earthier. It isn't carnal or wild either, but nor is it young and cheerful and clean.Any woman can pull this one-off, as it is irrespective of age, and does not have a particular niche audience. Its base notes of woody, creamy vanilla, amber, and musk transform this product from another floral perfume to an aromatic and sensual experience. To bring you the crème de la crème, we dissected each fragrance based on its Scent, Projection, Longevity, Versatility, and Value. With this thorough evaluation, I’m confident we’ve crafted a top list that captures the essence of Burberry’s finest offerings. The perfume has a good durability - about 8 hours on my skin, on some days even longer. The sillage is also very good.

Our personal favorite Burberry fragrance for women, It’s only second for us to pay tribute to the classics. This fragrance gets its popularity from its eclectic and sensual aromas that are very hard to miss. This complex and layered scent starts with notes of pink pepper, mandarin orange, bergamot, and cardamom at the forefront, with added hints of tea, iris, and bellflower. This push towards modernity is perfectly expressed by The Beat, which is marketed towards a modern, yet sophisticated woman of any age. Invigorating and energetic, The Beat is for any woman who wants to show off her zeal for music and zest for life. When to Wear It
