This is pretty much me, there were several characters I didn't care that much for thus didn't feel the need to buy the figure. Yet there were a few that turned out really nice looking and the display almost feels incomplete without those certain few. I probably never will get Trailbreaker as I was always a Hoist guy, as well as Sunstreaker, Huffer, Skids etc. they just aren't needed in my case.

I'm struggling to balance incompatible priorities with my 'G1' collection. My priority had been to get everything as IDW as possible, but then things started spilling over the lines. I think that the colors will be more uniform at retail. Or at least, from one piece to the other as seen on the roof that he pointed out. I also think that maybe they ran or assembled pieces from both tooling for this and that's why there's the two tabs on top of the van. Those might be pieces from the Ratchet version and were never meant for Ironhide. Also there's no way they can't or won't budget in the yellow stripe. If they managed to sell Earthrise Ironhide at deluxe then they can budget in that yellow stripe for SS86 Ironhide and maybe even another gun. But really though, Earthrise Ironhide himself should be a voyager due to that added roof. Siege Ironhide was large for a deluxe even if it was stretched out like Impactor was but then they put in the roof piece which added another 7 parts at least to the total as well as the additional paint that was required. Falling on the tenth anniversary of Revenge of the Fallen, the 2019 product saw a return of the film's starring combiners, Jetwing Optimus Prime and a hugely ambitious Devastator, which necessitated a release over two years.STUDIO SERIES Voyager CLASS: Voyager Class toys are 6.5-inch collectible action figures designed with specs and details to reflect the Transformers un...

I kept Siege Bluestreak b/c, really, he doesn't look that alien (he looks like a near-future Mercedes) so I can have him, ER Smokescreen, and IDW Proql together in the same battle scene and feel like I have all the characters but in distinct forms. BUT, when I decided to do that I underestimated the allure of completing the season 1/season 2 Autobots in a cohesive aesthetic. While it has never been confirmed, the move to include 1986 characters in the Studio Series toyline after three years of continuous focus on the live-action films, was likely done to allow Hasbro and TakaraTomy to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the film, without stepping on the toes of the Beast Wars 25th anniversary, which was celebrated as a part of the War for Cybertron Trilogy. Evidence suggesting this is the inclusion of some of the film's main characters ( Cyclonus, Rodimus Prime and Galvatron) being sold in the concurrently-ran Kingdom toyline and the shared design aesthetics of the toys between both lines.

Painting the hands and large areas of painting clear plastic should NOT exist today… why… because we have in the past gotten snap in clear plastic windows with solid plastic in the past at a cheaper price… price doubled quality was cut in half… it’s bullshit and there is no more excuse for it today… As Seen In Parks" Megatron was officially exclusive to Universal Studios, but was released (almost a year after he had been officially revealed) in Hasbro's Asian markets first. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the toy was only released exclusively to online retailers in the U.S. Yea mine does have an upgrade foot kit to give him the better van look and the gap filler kit to fill the holes, but he seems more bulky in the chest and shoulders. Plus I love the bulk of the van mode as well. But I keep seeing pics of the SS86 one and am starting to like how he looks again in bot mode and how he has the all in one transformation to van mode.
