Software involves some batch files that trigger the slide projector and the camera and to flip and crop the photos. It would help me considerably to understand your design if you could describe the film path through the various rollers etc.

The “film look” is actually an artifact of _cheap_ film production, not film in general, and it “looks good” because your favorite classic films were shot on the cheap and you’re used to it.
