The Coleman Coastline 4 is a good basic tunnel tent for the family that wants to get away at the weekend. Our Opinion The tent is very tall and my husband who is over 6ft can stand up comfortably in it, we have a zip at the bottom of the front flap and therefore haven't had the problems other people have had.

People keep mentioning about the gap in the door but we did not find it to be a problem we pinned the door down and the rain just ran off onto the ground. No leaks in the rain. The Coleman Lakeside 4 is very similar in layout but in the cabin style of tent. It doesn't have the porch and extension options.As for the door/water blowing in and it being hard to close from inside I had no problems. The tent has 3 loops on the bottom of the door (one at either side and one in the middle) which you can easily reach from inside the tent when the door is fully zipped down. Just get a small sized peg and push it in with your hand and the door will be secure with enough ventilation to keep down condensation. There is also a lip around the base of the groundsheet which keeps water out. We have invested in a footprint and highly recommend the canopy which with a windbreak along the sides acts as an extension to the tent. It looks very simple from outside, but the tent is a 3-room structure and it is also a hybrid double wall and single wall. This means that you have a shell tent, and an inner tent that represents the sleeping area. So this sleeping area is the double-wall part while the large living room is under the shell. After researching online I found that this zipless bottom is common to SIG tunnel tents. On the first morning, I actually thought that the tent had a leak as there was water dripping (not much) from both of the window loops. This wasn't water, though, but condensation: it is true, you do need ventilation in tents with a SIG as condensation is a real problem. I know it wasn't rain now as it did it the next morning when there had been no rain. You can get around the problem by opening the tent up in the morning and letting it air.

Bedroom big enough for the 3 of us, probably cramped with 4 though. Plenty of space to sit in camping chairs indoors on an evening. As with the previous review, disappointed with front door not being sealed at front but was ok fastened down with the elastic hoop in centre of door. If you don't have a carpet in your tent it sounds a little over the top (that's what we thought too) but if you are staying more than a night I would recommend it for family camping, as it transforms the tent and makes it much warmer in the living area. (Take a dust pan and brush, and try to enforce a 'no shoes' policy - I know, sounds too much like home, but it will be worth it). So the weight is justified, and you are not supposed to carry it long distances.
