About this deal

If you’re ever in North Wales, especially around Wrexham, you’ll find this lager on draught in most pubs and bars. It’s not as strong as the bottled version coming in at 4%abv and I think this makes all the difference. It’s a perfect beer, not too strong, a good session beer. It’s mouth feel is fantastic, smooth, rounded and the malt gives an almost warm, nutty taste. German hops give a perfect, understated finish. I can’t speak highly enough, so onto the bottled version.

Frankfurt International Beer Trophy -Wrexham Export Lager: Gold Medal (Lager Category); Bootlegger 1974 Pilsner Lager: Gold Medal (Lager Category) I'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who does support us, every single bottle is greatly appreciated and we are just enjoying the ride with you." Experienced amateurs and experts from around the world taste and judge the beers together. We believe this is exactly what distinguishes the Frankfurt International Beer Trophy and makes it so specific, as this reveals what consumers really think.Possibly Tettnanger or Saaz hops (I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m completely wrong there), very light however and with the beer being chilled there’s not much of an aroma to talk about. I don’t find lager the most aromatic beer anyway.

Each year, with the support of renowned partners such as the Toques Blanches Lyonnaises, the Association des Sommeliers Lyonnais et Rhône Alpes and Metro, the competition tastes thousands of samples from numerous countries and brings to light the world’s best wines, beers and spirits. This Pilsner style lager was first brewed in 1882 by two German immigrant Brewers. The town has an exceptional brewing history that we’ll cover in a separate post, at it’s peak Wrexham was probably second only to Burton on Trent. It’s even said that Wrexham lager was served on the RMS Titanic as it had a reputation for travelling well. Karl Phillips, better known as Bootlegger has certainly played his part in elevating the fortunes of the club currently undergoing the Hollywood treatment. Wrexham lager is a beer that was first brewed in Wrexham, Wales. The beer is named after the Titanic, which sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in 1912. The Titanic was the largest ship in the world at the time of its sinking, and the Wrexham lager is brewed in honor of that ship. The beer is a light lager with a 4.7% alcohol by volume.Joss Roberts of Wrexham Lager added: "We’re very pleased to see that Home Bargains see the true potential our products have with giving us a national listing straight off. Each Beer is subjected to a rigorous blind tasting process which allows newcomers to compete fairly against the World’s leading brands. This is a major breakthrough, probably one of Wrexham Lager's biggest; to be sold in every single Aldi store in England and Wales. Phillips is a warm character. As we get talking about the beautiful game, he gets on to a subject very close to his heart: Supporting your local team.

If headlines are to be believed, it’s Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny who have put Wrexham AFC on the map. According to reports, sales of the company’s products have increased dramatically in the United States. The global popularity of the series also resulted in increased fan interest in Wrexham AFC. The gripping 18-episode series was released on Disney Plus, and both businesses were featured. Is Wrexham Lager Any Good?
