About this deal

This wonderfully creamy cheese is presented in a traditional black wax, and matured for over 2 years for full flavour. Lancashire is closely related to Cheshire and Wensleydale cheese which are all referred to as being part of the crumbly family of cheeses. The Shorrock family have been producing this cheese since 1923, and Andrew has been making the bomb since the mid 80s when a friend moved to America and begged him to send some cheese.

It still has that familiar sharp taste and acidity but is balanced to make it less crumbly and not as dry. The Lancashire Bombs are matured over two years creating a very creamy and full flavoured taste and texture.Vintage Cheddar, Ham and Pea Risotto is an ideal for a mid-week dinner with a rocket salad or some steamed greens. The Vintage Gold Cheese Bomb is handmade by the Shorrock family in the little village of Goosnargh which is snuggled quietly in the heart of Lancashire. Here at cheesegeek we have always known that cheese is magic and now we have the most definitive scientific evidence yet of the super powers hidden within. Our bombs are great tasting but look amazing we take great pride in creating such tasty and attractive product.
