About this deal

Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama brings a new level of authenticity to mid-range LEGO Star Wars sets in a way that is entirely new – what can come from such a creative direction is exciting to consider. The buildable LEGO Star Wars Helmet series also features an 18+ recommendation for similar reasons as the dioramas. How many LEGO Star Wars Diorama set are there? Step-by-step guide – Are you a newcomer to LEGO® building sets? No problem. There are illustrated instructions in the box to help you build with the confidence of Jedi Master Yoda

Inspired by Star Wars: A New Hope, the LEGO Star Wars Death Star™ Trench Run Diorama invites builders to recreate the gripping scene of Darth Vader™’s pursuit of Luke Skywalker™, as Luke fights to destroy the newly-built Death Star for a victory on the Rebellion side. Finish off the build with the memorable words of Darth Vader, “The Force is strong with this one.” Each model in the series is built on a frame that is 20 LEGO studs in depth (about 6.3 in or 16 cm). The frame serves as a foundation for the display. The sets are sized for display on a bookshelf. Luke Skywalker's training on Dagobah is probably my favourite sequence from throughout the Star Wars saga and 75330 Dagobah Jedi Training presents the scene beautifully. The swampy environment looks marvellous and features exceptional detail, while Yoda's hut achieves superb accuracy when compared with the source material, as anticipated. The swamp around the hut has a number of plant-based elements ready to ping off should you attempt to dive in with those clumsy fingers, while the trees are likewise very much built into the hut and with a higher number of looser-than-usual connections than you’d otherwise expect. LEGO Star Wars Diorama Sets are a series of LEGO sets recreating unforgettable scenes in the Star Wars franchise. Each set captures the details, suspense and nostalgia of beloved moments in Star Wars history. LEGO launches the new product line in late April 2022. Here’s everything you need to know about the LEGO Star Wars Diorama Collection.

LEGO fans have been building small dioramas and calling them “bignettes” (big vignettes) on a defined footprint for quite a while. Some builders have even incorporated edges on their scenes to create even better-looking display pieces. As mentioned, the colour of the swamp is somewhat jarring, but for display purposes, it really helps add life to the overall scene and contrasts nicely with the tree and hut above the surface. The price per piece should exclude 1x1 plates, pips, and tiles, to give a true impression of the value for money. In this set nearly 200 trans green 1x1 pieces are used. Subtract that from the piece count and then re-do the maths. This set is tremendously expensive for what it is. A nice model and a lovely rendition of the scene. But pricey. That said, LEGO know that if you want it, you should buy it now. Waiting a few months will leave you in the manipulated scalpers market, likely paying double. Either way, it’s likely to sell out soon.

Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama captures the hut in the most accurate way we have seen so far in LEGO form, from the clear and obvious features such as the tiny little door at the front, the small windows and the unusual spike at the top, through to some of its more subtle properties, such as the very particular contours that shape the dome-like structure and the various vines and branches from the tree it is built into. While the three designs for these characters are as expected and add that LEGO charm to the scene they sit within, would a display-based LEGO Star Wars set with a completely different design ethos not be the perfect opportunity to introduce a more accurately-sized Yoda and R2-D2? Yoda’s hut has been designed so authentically that Yoda the minifigure – who still stands way too tall next to a regular minifigure – cannot fit through the front door… During the build, I felt like I was attaching a lot of random arches and curved slopes to build up Yoda’s hut and the trees. However, upon completion, they fit together rather beautifully. Printed quotations also accompany each model and the scenes on Dagobah certainly provide ample material to draw upon. I think Yoda's famous comment regarding conviction when using the Force was most appropriate though. The neighbouring LEGO Star Wars branding adorns a 2x4 tile, also present across the burgeoning diorama series.Or, you could do what Ole intended all those years ago … and build your own version. Much more fun!" This set is part of a collectible series of buildable LEGO Star Wars diorama models, each depicting an iconic Star Wars moment, to spark nostalgia for any fan

Luke Skywalker's X-wing starfighter famously crashes into the Dagobah swamp, leaving only wing tips visible above the surface. The S-foil is therefore included, featuring Luke's Red Five markings on a printed 1x3 tile. The laser cannon looks good too, although the vehicle crashes with its wings together, hence another laser cannon should be mounted underneath. LEGO recommends the series for builders ages 18+ for a couple of reasons. One reason is due to complexity of the build. Another reason is due to LEGO’s anticipation of who will be most interested in the set. Experienced builders under 18 may still enjoy constructing the dioramas.Dark tan plates and tiles surround the hut, separating it from the swamp. Again, space is fairly limited, although there is ample room for the minifigures. You can even attach Luke Skywalker upside down, using a trans-clear 1x1 round plate with bar and matching accessory holder. The same interesting technique appeared in 75208 Yoda's Hut, four years ago. The space inside is extremely cramped, barely accommodating two minifigures. Nevertheless, some details from the movies are present, including a cooking pot and Yoda's simple bed. The stove is perfectly positioned beside the chimney and features a few trans-red and trans-orange tiles, hidden behind the pot. Yoda's lightsaber, meanwhile, is stored in the rafters. Yes, for 1,000 pieces you would hope for more, and yes, maybe there was a better colour combination to choose for depicting the swamp, but otherwise, we can agree with Yoda: size matters not. A wisp of smoke wafts from the other side of Yoda’s hut as the ancient Jedi master cooks a pot of rootleaf stew. The LEGO Star Wars Diorama Collection takes this design aesthetic to the next level, featuring a crisp box that defines the edges, complete with a plaque on the front and what appear to be vents on the sides — almost as if this is an electronic device like a holo-projector. You spend the remainder of the build process filling in landscape and structural details within this box.
