About this deal

Apply this versatile oil using the easy spray gun to get a glossy coat, conditioned skin and a create a skin barrier to protect against moisture and the environment.

Due to all the horror stories I've heard, I was wary of trying pig oil, especially with any sulphur in. When you have the measurement, remove 10cm (4inches) and choose your horse's size from the table below. I have washed Dylan's mane and tail and feathers today and then had to blow dry his feathers as they just wasn't drying! The one year I didn’t, the cobs came out of winter without feathers, and the finer horses with mud fever. Other things that do the same job are liquid parafin and a good old one, a packet of lard, just hold the block and rub it around the pasterns, fetlocks, heels and cannons. im really confused now, pig oil is designed to prevent sun burn on pigs, i use on all my horse various types or breeds for various reasons and never had a problem, they go out in the field in the baking sun and never have they burnt, am i just lucky or have some peoples makes of oil got something else in maybe, ive use for show shine, mites etc have welshie and traditional and none have never burnt, only recently ive use it on my mates coloured show cob in all ths sun we have been having and his fetlocks are fine, infact my own colured had crackes and sores in them before i started using pig oil since ive been using it its gone completley.

To treat mud rash, I decanted some into a small bottle (it came in a 5 litre tub), and got a small kitchen type sponge. All products are proudly made in the UK and excellent specification quality products are of paramount importance. Don’t worry, there is no difference between the pink and black labels, this is just a colour option they provide you; Pink for girls, black for boys!In these comparatively rare cases the owner is not at fault but if you put non equine lotions and potions on a horse and he has a bad reaction, that absolutely is down to the owner. Of course you will occasionally get the horse that reacts badly to an equine product and that is unfortunate. To measure your dog for a dog rug, measure the dog from the scruff of the neck to the top of the tail. Luckily I didn't use the sulphur, I used sulphur shampoo on one leg, he reacted badly and seven months on, the fur on that leg has not grown back properly, he needed numerous vet visits.

Ye i would never put pig oil on in summer its actually meant for feathered horses to help grow and maintain mane and feather i use on all my traditionals all through winter to stop there feathers burning off and it acts as a good mud guard too! I did treat twice with frontline and it seemed to work up til now but it seems they are back again because shes stamping again. The soothing water resistant formulation of Pig Oil and Sulphur has been traditionally used for a variety of topical conditions with beneficial effects. The suphur kills mites and the oil protects the hair and creates conditions that the mites do not want to live in. I would definately patch test and WAIT for for 2 weeks as that seems to be the amount of time the results take. Pig oil and sulphur sounds a rather grim mix, but it’s actually a brilliant combination of products that has been used for a long, long time as a way to help prevent mud related conditions, such as mud fever, in horses. The same happened to my mare when I applied Kill Itch to her front legs, recommended to me for leg mites.
