Savage Games is an amazing read! I could not put it down! If you love steamy, suspenseful, dark romance books with bully elements, and a secret society, you will love this book. Can’t wait for the next book to be released and see what happens next in Scarlett, Crew, Jagger, and Neo’s story! My second pet peeve is the instant best friend. Come on, just once make the FMC want to attend the party if she attending the party is so important to the story, we don't need a friend that have no other reason to be in the story other than to take the FMC to the party. Scarlett has recently been forced to attend Boulder Cove Academy after recently getting expelled from two of her previous school. She has been getting pranked for years by the boys who she once played with. Her parents are hoping once she attends Boulder Cove she will learn her places in this new secret society. There are strict rules the lawless (Neo, Jagger, and Crew) enforce at this academy and as long as you follow them, you won’t have to face any consequences. Scarlett has no interest in this new society or leaving her best friend behind but she’s out of options. She knows once she attends the school the 3 boys from her past will be there and they’ll be seeking revenge. Not knowing who to trust and being outcasted constantly can she survive the school year? Neo sounded creepy towards his sister and the jealousy surrounding Scarlett and Maddie's friendship. Jagger is there to make it a RH. We all know I love a dark, bully romance and I absolutely devoured this!! If you want to read about men that you’ll watch to punch and kiss at the same time and about a strong woman who doesn’t put up with shite from the men then I defo recommend this!!
I absolutely loved Scarlett’s character! She’s strong willed, caring, and remorseful! There are secrets in her past that have her doubting self but she knows her truths and is determined to come out on top! I loved the dynamic between all of the guys! Neo is your typical alphas-hole and is the cruelest in the bunch! Crew despite disliking her has always had a soft side when it comes to Scarlett and their past connection often shines through. Jagged is still a bit of a mystery! He is willing to follow Neo and continue to put her in her place but is also willing to hear her out! I can’t wait to see how their relationship dynamics grow! Please advise this series is a dark romance with bully elements.
The bullying is done well and with enough of a unique convincing motive for each character that it feels authentic; yet rarely crosses the line in a way that is completely morally impossible to redeem—I dig it. This stalker, psycho is beyond obsessed. What they found at the end brought me out in goosebumps. It’s creepy af. For this to be a RH, almost no spice! But the hate sex was hot. Maybe book one is a warm up to book two. After reading the prequel (I highly recommend doing this as it gives you a little glimpse and more understanding of the world) I knew this book was going to have me hooked.The fact that I couldn’t guess every single thing that would happen—we are kept on our toes and are not completely given everything already at the end of book 1 I loved the whole setting of this book. It is set in a dark academia kind of vibe. A secret society. The school where the members of the society send their children for training to be part of the society. The Lawless who run the school. The games. The secrets. Oh I was so excited. It was so detailed and I felt being transported to a whole new world. This is dark, twisted and full of deceit. But in the best possible way. Enemies to lovers trope definitely plays a huge part here. But I feel there is far more in this plot than just the surface. Neo, Crew and Jagger are the Lawless. Kings of the school. And Scarlett is their target. They hate Scarlett for an accident that was not her fault at all. But she isn't someone weak. She will play their games and beat them too. They have a complex dynamic. Neo is the most unhinged one. Darkest one. He wants to hate Scar but cannot resist her fierceness. Crew is the sweetest one. He and Scar have a very heartbreaking history too. Jagger confused me the most. He swings from smirking charming self to crazy side. It was sexy and deviant and emotional. And I want more.
