About this deal

Additionally, you should compare the price ranges of different devices (as the price can vary depending on features) to ensure that you are getting a quality product at an affordable price. Using Windows to burn this using Parallels did it for me, after I'd made sure to delete the extra files that Macs seem to infest zip files

But basically, it would be great if someone could test Red Sparrow on this player. Especially if they have an LG OLED. I am very intrigued by what I experienced yesterday. So here I come across the first missing feature that really annoys me. There is no way to disable upscaling (that I have found) of standard blu rays at the player and send your TV a 1080p signal. I know the Sony X700 can do this. I would imagine the C8 has much better upscaling capabilities than an entry level UHD player. Has anyone found a way to disable the upscaling done by the player? As with all electronic equipment of this type, there is a user’s guide, which we have to say is a lot more comprehensive than some of the guides we have come across. It includes full written explanations of how to set up your player, along with diagrams that are very easy to follow. To use the player, including settings and selecting options there will be an on-screen display on your TV which makes all the processes much easier to follow. Also, look out for notifications on the display for software updates. Pros For connecting external video sources, there should be an AV input port as well. This makes these headrest DVD players ideal for long trips where you want to keep passengers entertained while maintaining safety on the road. This player is capable of playing a broad range of media including Ultra HD and standard Blu-ray, DVDs, and CDs. As well as these options, thanks to its USB connectivity you can play other sources through the player, meaning any movies, videos or music stored on your laptop or computer can be seen and heard at a level experienced by you before, Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 2nd November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.)

We mentioned that LG has 6 Blue-ray players on the market, and they have a tendency to release some of them at the same time. In the case of the UBK80, it was launched in 2018 along with their UBK90 model and they were both seen as updated versions of LG’s previous model, the UP970. For instance, the cost of a rechargeable lithium battery-powered dual-screen DVD player will be more than one without the rechargeable battery and digital formats. Ultimately, it’s important to remember that you get what you pay for when shopping for electronics. If you’ve got a stunning HDR-equipped TV, you’ll only really see it at its full potential with UHD Blu-ray. With the resolution from films on Blu-ray now matching the UHD 4K resolution of your TV, every pixel offers super-crisp detail and realism. A wide range of UHD Blu-ray films is available, meaning you can enjoy the very best in sound and vision from today. An issue reported by @ kaiyen in the unveiling thread (i.e., white screen, freezing, failing to respond) had me concerned. I hooked mine up using Premium Certified HDMI cables and just finished watching a Blu-Ray (non 4K UHD) and it played flawlessly. I have and extensive collection of Blu Rays... but no UHD's to test at this time. Will be adding some to my collection this week. I'm hoping (guessing) kaiyens problem might have be related to cable issues.

During all this the TV was always in HDR picture mode. Anyone seen anything like this? It could be just a side effect of playing the movie outside of its normal speed and the TV and player losing sync. Hello! Does this only work for region free DVD? I tried this recently on the UK player and everything The first job should be to get the player connected to your TV which will require the HDMI cable we previously mentioned. Other equipment you could connect includes an amplifier, and a computer or laptop. And again, keep in mind I'm still not using a certified (18 Gbps) cable yet. In other words, stay tuned.

NOTE: Unfortunately... it seems the Magic Remote that comes with the LG TV is not 100% compatible with the UBK Bluray player. (at least not in the case of my B6) The only keys that work are the d-pad buttons, play, and pause. The scroll wheel in the center does not interact with the BD player. You'll find in some situations you'll need to use the remote that comes with the player. I turn on the player and am greeted with a super blurry LG logo and then the sparse menu. The menu looked blurry as well. I know that the interface on these budget players usually aren't rendered in 4K, but it still seemed off. I popped in the Brave blu ray as my first test to see how standard 1080p content would play. I found the image to be extremely soft. Looked kind of like the menu. I verified that the TV was receiving a 4K signal from the player upscaling the blu ray. I figure this soft image is not normal, so I hunt down another HDMI cable. I grab the one that I was using between my PS4 and the plasma the OLED was replacing. Things visibly improved. The menu wasn't as blurry and the Brave disc seemed much sharper. However it still seemed a bit soft. I know that the C8 is capable of upscaling 1080p content quite nicely because hours before the family and I watched Coco via Netflix. It looked amazing, much better than the Brave disc and that Coco stream was only 1080p.

The following day I rented Red Sparrow. I posted what happened in the C8 owner's thread because this one didn't exist yet, but I will repost it here with some modifications: Also make sure that Windows burns the disc 'as a CD' rather than 'As a USB' (if it asks). And delete the desktop.ini file if it tries to What is also good about this player is that it allows you to play 3D films through it as long as you have a 3D compatible TV, this will make it feel like you are in the centre of the movie and you really don’t miss a thing. You will also be able to play all your favourite DVDs that you’ve got laying around, bringing the past with you to the future. This player also allows you to play CD’s, so, as well as having a movie night, you can have a music day as well. Many products can also play music, via a variety of formats, or access the FM radio. Features like this make up the best rear entertainment systems.

In addition to offering DVD support, we preferred headrest DVD players that also offered support for HDMI, so you can stream from a laptop, USB flash drive, and SD card. This is one of the most affordable Blu-ray players we've tested. Add it to your 'maybe' pile if you're shopping for a basic Blu-ray player, but be warned that this model doesn't have 4K upscaling technology and won't play 3D Blu-rays. For people who are struggling to get the CD to work and you're using a Mac to make the disc: read this!
