h Godox really need to produce fresnels (and a projection attachment) which are optimised for their lights. This is the big gap between them and Aputure and NanLite. The Godox VLII Series can deliver a brightness of up to 76,000 Lux at 1m with the standard reflector (6,100 lux bare bulb). This makes the Godox VLII series powerful workhorses for cinematography and video production. Aputure LS C120D II boasts a persistent 5500K color temperature whereas the Godox VL150 offers a range of 5600K ± 200K temperature. In addition, the cooler Aputure LS C120D II also features a higher TLCI (≥97) than the VL150 (≈95). However, both models offer a CRI rating of 96. NOTE: Please be aware when using the high-powered LED COB chips although these will produce little heat, you will need to ensure sufficient airflow when using a modifier to avoid causing damage to the light or modifier. The VL150II can be either powered via a mains AC power outlet or via V-Mount batteries (available separately), when shooting in locations where access to mains power isn’t available. This enables your creative ideas to be realised with virtually no limitations when it comes to location.
Again, as with the previously mentioned lighting series, the name indicates the power output of each lighting unit. The UL-60 has a maximum power output of 60W and the UL-150 has a much larger power output of 150W. This is further shown in the difference in brightness between each of the units as when measured at 1m, the UL-150 is much brighter at 58,000 LUX compared to the 31,000 LUX offered by the UL-60 light. The Godox UL-60 does offer a selection of features not available with the UL-150 unit, such as a selection of different lighting effects to choose between to add mood and drama to your cinematography. It also features Bluetooth connectivity to allow it to be controlled by the Godox smartphone app and supports DMX512 protocol to control a single or multiple units via a DMX control console. To deal with the added power output and brightness, the weight of the units also differs. The VL300 is the heaviest of the three lights at 2.64KG, with the VL200 offering a weight of 2.23KG and finally the VL150 offering the lowest weight of 1.79KG. However, even with the added weight of the lights, they all do still offer the same dimensions. Both models deliver somewhat similar light output. Godox VL150 can deliver 61000 lux at 1m with just the standard reflector whereas the SL150W II models can deliver 58000 lux at 1m with the standard reflector. Practically, there is only a slight difference between the lux value at 5600K and it can be further increased using a Fresnel. Both models can dim their light as low as 0% from full brightness giving you full control over what you are buying.

Aputure LS C120D II has a higher 180 W rating compared to the 150 W of Godox VL 150. Both models share the same operating current(2A) and power supply rating, AC100~240V 50/60Hz. In addition, both models use the same battery plate 1 x V-Mount. In terms of connectivity, Aputure LS C120D II features a 5-pin XLR whereas the Godox VL150 is equipped with a 4-pin XLR power input connector. Color Temperature You are right. When away from the unit itself, there is a dedicated remote control for each unit as well as Bluetooth compatibility to work alongside the Godox smartphone app. Dimming functionality in LEDs come in extremely handy. This saves a lot of time as it eliminates the need to change the lighting to control the brightness that suits a scene. Aputure LS C120D II features non-linear dimming from 100% to 1% in <10% fine adjustments. The Godox VL150 provides better control over the lighting by providing a linear control. It is dimmable down to 0% from full brightness.
