About this deal

Supplements are not essential for anyone. You can get 100g of protein from a vegan diet if you know how to make a balanced one with the right ingredients. Hazelnut nougat’s center is filled with soft nougat cream and a milk chocolate coating. The smooth texture of the core is balanced with the Cripsy outer chocolate layer. Historically speaking, protein bars have been very dense and chewy. For bars that have tried to mimic the candy bar textures, I’ve found that the flavor is not quite there, or they end up tasting very artificial (like Fit Crunch Bars). The flavor is tough to describe, and I can truly only describe it as a candy. The nougat interior is extremely light & airy, there’s a gooey caramel layer, a delicious chocolate coating, and crunchy cookie pieces lining the exterior of the bar. There are hundreds of protein bar brands available in the market, and every year or two, more and more businesses are hopping into the company with their products. Barebells is one such product that has been making a lot of buzz since the last year.

If you only try one flavor, definitely try to get your hands on the creamy crisp and thank me later. It’s a classic protein bar flavour, and a go-to for many people. Barebells’ offering certainly looks good, coated in a thin layer of milk chocolate and sprinkled with cocoa soya crispies.

Hazelnut Nougat protein bars have more carbs; fats compare to other Barebells protein bars. Also, the protein quantity is less. With Hope's advise in mind, here's our round-up of eleven widely-sold bars, complete with tasting notes and nutritional info. The flavour here is really nice. It’s definitely lemony, but not so zingy as to make you wince. The curd layer is a great addition, and any bitterness is beautifully balanced by the sweetness from the white chocolate.

This protein bar is good enough that even if every other flavor of Barebells protein bars was extremely average, I would still consider them the best protein bar on the market. And then there’s the issue that if you promise dark chocolate, you should really deliver dark chocolate. I love dark chocolate – it’s rich is wonderful, and I don’t even mind the hint of bitterness. But this isn’t it. It’s too sweet and too faint a flavour. Plus, the chocolate coating is too thin for it to hold it’s own against the mint.Calcium caseinate, whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, glycerol, maltitol, collagen, polydextrose, soy protein isolate, cocoa butter, milk powder, water, sunflower oil, unsweetened chocolate, natural and artificial flavors, soy lecithin, sucralose. On top of their slightly spennier price point, there are so many different varieties of protein bar out there. It can be hard to know which one to choose – especially if you have dietary requirements (such as being vegan), have allergies or suffer from IBS. Nutritionally, Barebells are on par with most protein bars you’ll find. Each bar contains around 200 calories and 20 grams of protein, which has become the industry standard.

This one looked almost exactly the same as the chocolate dough (from the outside.) It had the chocolate chunks on top and a milk chocolate coating. This bar takes the best parts of all the other bars, combines them into one bar, and somehow makes them even better. Although the little white sprinkled spots look cute, they have no role in the taste or overall crunchiness of crunchy fudge, and I can’t find any part of putting any sprinkles all over it. The white chocolate coating is lovely, but it’s still so thin that the almond pieces are still essentially naked, but the almond pieces themselves are a better choice than the go-to crispies of other brands. The core is soft with a slight chew and, although I’ve literally just shaded them, I do like the crispies in there for the subtle crunch. The center is softy, and you don’t have to put a lot of effort to chew. The sweet and creamy chocolate coating and the crispies on the top felt good. The overall texture is spot on.Comparison to other protein bars– These are about the same price as most protein bars I’ve tried (or even a bit lower than some.) Flavor-wise, these are some of the best protein bars I’ve had. They’re comparable to Built Bars (which have been my go-to for a while), and some of the Barebells flavors I like even more than those. The texture is the best I’ve had in any protein bar. I really like the cashew pieces on this one – they add some crunch and are a refreshing change from the crispies you find on pretty much every protein bar these days. Short answer: No. But honestly, what did you expect? The chocolate coating is creamy, the centre is soft (definitely reminiscent of nougat), the caramel layer is nice and moist, and the hazelnut pieces certainly add a slight crunch; but this is definitely not Rocher-esque. This one had crushed up peanuts on top and was coated in milk chocolate. It had a thin layer of (I’m assuming) caramel inside.
