When your little one first starts showing teeth, you may wonder what type of toothbrush to get. First, make sure the toothbrush is age appropriate. While you may think an adult toothbrush would work just fine, it's best to buy a smaller toothbrush to fit your baby's needs. A smaller toothbrush helps them learn about grasping and maneuvering around their mouth to wipe away debris and bacteria. Avoid liquid-filled teething toys. They can pop when the baby bites down, exposing the baby to potentially unsafe liquid. I made these a few years ago for my granddaughter and they came out great. Made then yesterday for my 7.5 month old grandson. Gave them to my DIL, because they were going to the other grandma’s for brunch and I told her to keep an eye on him when he had one. I think the dough wasn’t moist enough. I had to wet my hands a bit to shape them, but still, I think they will break/crumble a bit when “slobbered” on. The ones I made for big sister were nice and hard. I’ll try again and amend the dough if I think it’s too dry.
