David: The Altra Escalante is a minimalist road running shoe that has a very natural feel to it. The shoe uses a 0mm drop platform, meaning there is no difference in height between the heel and the forefoot. The shoe has moderately flexible design to it and a comfortable knit upper. For some this will be a walking shoe/running shoe double and for some it could even be a speed work shoe. I work on my feet for up to 12 hrs a day plus walk an additional 10-15 miles. I needed a comfy shoe that breathes & supports. As I researched, I found Run Moore’s review of this shoe & was convinced. The shoe is extremely comfortable & fits like a custom shoe. No slipping inside, no rubbing, no blisters, no fatigue. I’m so impressed, not just with the shoe but with Run Moore, this is the 1st place I’ll look for performance shoes. Thanks a bunch Run Moore!
