About this deal

We move from the phases of the moon into the seasonal moon and examine different ways of using a moon calendar including relating it to the controversial Celtic Tree calendar. I’m glad she includes this though; it shows that moon magic and timings are not just for Wicca, but for any path. Isadora Moon is special because she is different. Her mom is a fairy, and her dad is a vampire, and she is a bit of both. Although the Moon shines bright in the night sky, it doesn’t produce its own light. We see the Moon because it reflects light from the Sun.

National Geographic Kids is an exciting monthly read for planet-passionate boys and girls, aged 6-13! The moon has always played a central role in human history and culture, unsurprisingly so. The orbit of the moon impacts the tides, and the changing phases of the moon have been used to mark time since the earliest days of human history, providing us with a natural calendar before we had the ability to calculate time ourselves. Scientists and astronomers from various cultures have focused on the moon, calculating its age and trajectory, and positing theories and writing books about the moon and where it might have come from, long before the space race allowed us to reach the surface of the moon itself. Rachel writes in such a way that is so easy to read and so easy to understand. This book is very informative and very useful, whether you are new to moon magic or not ,or even ,thinking about trying moon magic. It gives lists of herbs .oils and blends to use during each phase, this is the second book i have and i will be sure to get the others, Well done Rachel ,Her mother is a fairy, her father is a vampire, and she is a little bit of each. The day that Isadora’s class goes on a field trip to an enchanted castle, everyone is terrified. What if they see a ghost? Isadora can’t wait for her first-ever trip to the carnival! But when she arrives, it’s not quite as fun as she had hoped. Maybe the wave of a fairy wand or a drop of a witch’s potion will make the carnival a little more magical. What could possibly go wrong? Llyn Roberts, MA is a celebrated teacher of healing and shamanism. She is the author of The Good Remembering, Shamanic Reiki, Shapeshifting into Higher… Enjoyed this book, always been fascinated by the moon. More so the effects they have on us. How to Welcome & Enjoy All Her Phases.

Isadora is the only half-fairy, half-vampire in her human school. She knows what it’s like to be different. But that’s okay because everyone at her school is a little different from everyone else!

There are in depth chapters that focus on each of the moon phases; waxing, waning, full and new. However it also details how the waxing and waning gibbous moons can be worked with effectively, something I haven't seen in any pagan book that I have read. Moon Magic has helped me to realise and connect in a way that feels right. With easy to follow beautiful Rituals and crafts for each phase of the Moon, this book takes the reader on a journey of discovery and realization of just how much our lives and moods are connected with the phases of the Moon. In my opinion, reasons to go to the moon are few, reasons to stay fewer. Yet John Kessel's novel, The Moon and the Other, gives one of the cleverest rationales for settling the moon: It's a giant social science laboratory. In the year 2149, 3 million humans live on the moon in 27 distinct cultures. One culture is the Society of Cousins, where men trade political rights for social status so as to limit the potential for male violence. That society rubs up against the more traditionally patriarchal Persepolis, which has evolved from an Iranian experiment in secularism. Four characters experience relationships, love, and other disasters in a rich social comedy. The book is witty, charming, and light-footed, hitting its targets with elegant precision (think of it as a fencer's foil, while Heinlein's novel is a brass cannon). Kessel takes a smart look at the fallibility of human institutions, but also argues that there's hope in our imperfections. Ian McDonald is a Hugo Award–winning novelist who has written books about Martian colonization , nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence . His latest series of Luna books are set in a near future where the moon is ruled by five families on a neofeudal basis. IEEE Spectrum invited him to share a selection of moon-related books that have moved and inspired him. Calling all budding young space cadets! Which can mean only one thing: Isadora’s birthday is going to be anything but normal! What I particularly loved about this book was the additional Moon Magic correspondences, such as crystals, oil recipes, herbs, colours, written guided meditation, spells and moon cycle ritual. I know from my own personal practice that it is such a huge relief now to have this "Go To Moon Magic Bible" to discover what crystals and herbs I should be working with in a particular moon phase. I am particularly pleased with the Planting with the Moon chapter; this is such a simple aspect of biodynamic agriculture but so many people forget the impact the Moon has on plants and the soil. I’ve often used lunar agrarian principles for my own garden and others’, but this chapter teaches me things I never knew and will definitely implement myself. Now Isadora’s parents wanther to start school, but she’s notsure where she belongs — fairyschool or vampire school? Cyndi Brannen, PhD, is a psychologist, author and teacher.
