About this deal

I have the very same problem with my Marshall Major II bluetooth. I just made the wiring diagram for it and drawn the same conclusion as this answer. I will post pics of the repair on imgru and put the link here if I get it sorted. The fourth-generation Major IV possess all of the style we’ve come to expect from Marshall, while more than doubling the battery life of their predecessor. They’ve also undergone a few smart design tweaks, making them an attractive option for those seeking eye-catching, on-ear cans.

The ear cups isolate both your music from the outside world and the outside world from your music. Photograph: Samuel Gibbs/The Guardian Pros: great sound, very loud, good isolation, excellent battery life, easy to connect, great controls, fold up for transport, relatively compact, sturdy Marshall's headphones have been universally solid offerings that target the fashion-conscious more than the audiophile. Its latest offering, the Marshall Major II Bluetooth, is the company's first wireless headphones and it continues Marshall's trend for focusing on fashion and fun rather than pristine sound quality and a great build. the circuit board in the left ear (for mine) is super simple and as that is the one not working for me it's really easy to replace. I f you are having issues with connecting to Bluetooth, there are a few troubleshooting tips we advise you try to resolve the issue:

How do you control the Marshall Monitor II ANC?

The headphones are padded with soft leather on the earcups and headband, making them comfortable for the most part though I experienced some pain from the headphone's pressure on my ears after long listening sessions. I was able to fix the headphones! As I wrote in my first message, I was able to find only 9line replacement cable instead of 10, which I need. I had some time to think about different ways to solve the problem. One of them was to use 9core cable + 1 separate core. With lots of soldering work, it's possible to do. You would get kinda 3 parts cable. Hidden in the headband middle part would be 9core + 1 separate wire which would be soldered with pieces of old cable, I had to cut and test for consistency by resistance measuring. 20 points of solder work would hide in the headband and all work would be done. The ear cups are held in place by thin wire arms and a flexible padded headband, covered with more fake leather texture. There are a few nice brass accents here and there.

The Major IV’s most attention-grabbing trait is their class-leading battery life. Only having to charge them once every few weeks is a huge boon in an age where we’ve become accustomed to power-hungry devices needing a daily top-up. Using the app is simple. Just connect your devices, adjust the volume, and get on with your life. You can fiddle with more detailed adjustments if you’re that way inclined, like equalisers and noise control for headphones – everything is there to help create your perfect fit. Forget' the headphones as a Bluetooth device on your sound source, and then disable and enable Bluetooth on your sound source and attempt to re-establish the connection. The headphones fold inward and have a detachable cable with a one-button inline remote and microphone for cell phone use. Sarah Tew/CNET My headphones wont start. When I plug it to the USB the light turns white. When I am trying to turn it on, nothing happens. Tried using a paperclip in the input to press the button inside. Nothing happened. It means you can share whatever you’re listening to with a friend using a standard headphones cable, as you might want to on a plane, train or in the office. British audio brand Marshall has taken its first steps into the wireless headphone world with a brand new version of its Major II, which is claims has over 30 hours of battery life. Controls are equally simple to navigate. Marshall has taken a “less is more” approach, and I can’t fault the execution. A single multidirectional knob on the right earpad handles all of your key commands. Pressing and holding the knob powers the Major IV on or off, with a single press playing or pausing audio.

Marshall Headphones Major II review: Affordable on-ear - CNET

Move the devices (headphones and sound source) closer together. The device and headphones should be within 10 meters of each other, unobstructed by walls or doors That said, both are based on the same recipe and -- to switch metaphors -- the Major II headphones can stand proud as the new flagship on-ear headphones from the company, and they even cost a little less than FX 50 model as it's phased out. Conclusion

The Marshall Monitor II ANC headphones does have Bluetooth multipoint. Staying connected to two devices is easy and works more or less as advertised. To pair to a new device you have to: The affordable, comfortable Marshall Major II on-ear headphones offer improved bass performance and better clarity than the original Major model. The headphones fold inward and have a detachable cable with a one-button inline remote and microphone. Another attractive feature is the ability to share your audio using the included 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable. Plug the cable into the Major IV, connect it to any pair of headphones with a 3.5mm port and whatever you’re listening to will be played through the other device as well. A section of the cable stretches so you don’t have to worry about pulling the headphones off your head if one of you moves, which is a nice touch. Opportunities to take advantage of such a feature may not present themselves too often – particularly at the moment – but it’s a thoughtful and useful inclusion nonetheless.
