About this deal

DETAIL, SOUNDSTAGE, IMAGING - Quite detailed considering the price its available. On "New Light" by Kazuki there are a lot of layered sounds of nature (children playing, wind blowing, and soft footsteps on the dry leaves). I count the number of footsteps I can hear in the first minute of the song. On headphones like HD560s and HD600, I can hear 6-7 footsteps. On BLON BL03 I can hear 5 footsteps (that too after paying a lot of attention, otherwise they are not apparently audible). On the S12 pro I can hear 9-10 footsteps, most of which are very clearly audible even if you are just listening casually. Staging and imaging are similarly average on the Timeless, though center imaging is even worse. The smoother treble helps the Timeless avoid fatigue in the long run, even though both IEMs exhibit planar timbre. LETSHUOER S12 PRO's tonality takes a more U-shaped sound profile; it has more prominent low frequencies, particularly on the sub bass, a neutral and linear midrange and accentuated upper mids up to the brilliance part of the high frequencies. Surprisingly, among the planar magnetic IEMs that I've tested, The S12 PRO is one of the most natural sounding out there and it manage to minimise the "Planar Sheen" that I usually experience when I'm testing planar sets whether its an IEM or a full-size can. No harshness up here and just a perfect example of good tuning. Treble sensitive should be able to tolerate this well. A nerdy guy with a passion for audio and gadgets, he likes to combine his DAC and his swiss knife. Even after more than 10 years of experience,

S12 is a pair of Hi-Fi Earphones created for music lovers. It is planar driver in ear monitors with wider stage, better clarity, faster transients, better treble extension and great resolution. It will be your best companion to your everyday music enjoyment. MIDS: Before EQ the mids are somewhat nasally but you probably won't be able to catch that if you are not very experienced with a lot of IEMs. However comparing this with a neutral set you will find male vocals to be somewhat distanced and tinny (not a lot though) and female vocals to be highly amplified. Applying the AutoEQ profile in Wavelet fixed this issue like magic. All the midrange instruments came alive and the sound immediately became what can be considered "neutral". Amazing detail retrieval from midrange especially at this price point. On 'Bird on a Wire' by Jennifer Warnes (one of the best songs to test sound quality of any headphone/speaker according to professional acoustic engineers btw, but I don't like this song) the lower midrange stays clean due to the well controlled bass and didn't feel nasally or congested after eq. The treble on the S12 PRO is well extended and clear with good detail retrieval that doesn't resort into becoming analytical. I still suggest getting something to power these and not outright straight from devices like a smartphone. The midrange is lush with sublime goodness, but are not forward (which for me makes them relaxing) again that also depends on your pairing. The highs are sparkly with great extension but do not get out of line to my ears, no sibilance. Here there is some consistency across amps and DACs, the highs do not change much with power.Coming from Sennheiser HD598 & KZ Terminators, I can tell these are in a completely different league in terms of everything. S12 Pros certainly have a WOW factor when it comes to its beautiful soundstage. Its almost hard to believe how such small IEMs have such wide and accurate soundstage. The 2-Pin connectors do have a metal housing in blue color that Left (transparent) and Right (red) color indicators. The LetShuoer S12 Pro comes inside a pretty minimalistic rectangular box that is wrapped with a cardboard that shows the illustration and some product related brandings on the front specification at the bottom. The S12 is a slightly warm and very enjoyable set of earphones that balances its sound signature between sounding reference and musical while retaining good levels of transparency and technicalities.

I was under the impression that the S12 Pro will be quite bright and harsh, and was honestly worried about how my ears will interpret its sound seeing as I’m quite sensitive to mid treble, but it never sounded harsh(unless you go ham with the volume) during my experience. The extra detail comes at the cost of fatigue on the Z12, whereas the P1 Max can be listened to all day long. As long as you can handle the bulky shells, that is. As a non-professional reviewer, I aim to use simple terms that can be understood by both beginners and experts in the hobby. The upper treble area on the other hand shows efficient level of brilliance that is produced around the 7 kHz region. The upper treble region of the LetShuoer S12 Pro is able to create fine sense of airiness and sparkle that is needed for a spacious atmosphere. Instruments such like cymbals, hi-hats and snare drums are shown with an adequate grade of extension, authority and resolution.Equally strong is the mid range which is very well tuned with great coherency and a touch of a tasty upper-mids emphasis that adds some flavor without leading into sibilance and excessive projection.
