I actually liked this a lot more than the Alpha Inmate. Both are good books but this one just hits right for me. Lilith should have made Noah grovel a lot more but I guess their whole relationship and how they began covers it all lol. A hint of mafia world ( h is a daughter of a criminal kingpin and H is a professional hitman). The kinks shown in this book is 👌 a little bit of breath play, knife play and a lot of praise kink 😆. H also displays a lot of stalkerish behavior. The writing. This was written in dual POV, but in third person, present tense. I typically don’t like books that are written in present tense, but sometimes they work, if they are written in first person. Also, when it comes to dual POV books I prefer ones that are written in first person, not third person. The combination of third person and present tense just didn’t work for me. Noah wants revenge for the death of his brother Ethan and knows who murdered him. When he finds out that the man that killed Ethan has a daughter, he seeks to destroy her...an eye for an eye and all that. But when he sets his sights on Lillith, the Omega, his Alpha instincts surge forward. She is nothing he expected and everything he wants and needs. Can two souls with pain from the past come together and build something beautiful?
