Who doesn’t love a prequel? Well many don’t, but if you were a fan of Game Of Thrones this is one you’re going to want to watch. House Of The Dragon has just started this year, so fans who are missing Game Of Thrones have this to sink their teeth into. I only saw one episode of the first series of The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan, but when I saw there was a second series, I decided to give it a proper watch, and I’m glad I did. Have you ever wanted to watch a show set in India about 4 Indian women at different stages of their lives/careers? Probably not, but Four More Shots, Please! is all about that, and it works. Guilty pleasure or just a great TV show. Girls is of a comedy drama mostly about 4 girls, all friends but all have different personalities. If you’re into a crime drama, Gangs Of London is definitely the one to watch this year. It premiered on SKY Atlantic in April 2020, with the second season being available in October 2022.
It follows the story of Vinny Chase who is the movie star, and is in Hollywood with his friends which include Turtle, Eric and his half brother Johnny “Drama” Chase. One of the best characters in the show is his agent, Ari Gold, who is always funny. One of the marquee shows for Apple TV+, it’s The Morning Show. It’s a really good show with an all star cast including Steve Carrell, Reece Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, and centres on the breakfast show of an American TV channel. Silicon Valley is based around a tech start up in, you guessed it, Silicon Valley. It’s a comedy drama kind of show, mostly about 5 guys who are friends and programmers. It goes from a new start up Pied Piper, and over 6 seasons the show has evolved from there. The good news is that even though the 4th series has just started, a 5th will be on the way next year. In 2023 The Bold Type is now available on the BBC iPlayer, with all 5 seasons being able to be streamed and binge watched.Bobby Axelrod (Damien Lewis) left after season 5, with a new enemy of his, Michael Prince taking over Axe Capital. Season 6 was a strange one with Axe not being in it, but it was still been a good season with Michael Prince assuming the role of bad guy billionaire. There’s tons of other supporting characters throughout the series, including cameo appearances from lots of celebrities. It’s so easy to binge watch an entire season in no time at all.
If you like a bit of a laugh, comedy, men, cars and travel, you’ll like this. It’s not really a car show, so you don’t need to worry about having a huge interest in cars, although you may enjoy it more.As the name suggests it’s about the rise of the LA Lakers in the 1980s with players like Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. I love shows like this, which draw heavily on real life events but adds that bit of dramatization to it. Some of these shows are still on going, some have just finished or started their current seasons, and some are now finished.
There’s so much great TV on right now! Now the the perfect time to binge watch some of the best box sets! Adapted from the PlayStation game of the same name, this is a really gripping show that you can get into and watch one after the other to see what happens. It’s actually kind of hard to describe the show, but it’s a comedy drama series of working class friends from the North. Following their lives and tribulations which usually included stealing, drugs, drinking and getting up to all kinds. I have loved watching this show, and it’s one that you can binge watch, with it’s gripping storyline and wanting to know what happens next.
Ballers made it’s final ever season in 2019, it will be missed. But the good news is that there’s a massive 5 seasons to re-watch, that’s 47 episodes. The story set over 3 summers, 1993, 1994, and 1995. That is what Cruel Summer is all about. This is a brilliant coming of age story about 2 teenage girls, Jeanette Turner and Kate Wallis.
A similar sounding story with the geek and the popular girl, but it gets dark. Kate goes missing and it appears that Jeanette takes over her life. I definitely recommend watching this if you want a good drama, you don’t need to have played the game to enjoy it. It’s as entertaining as it is informative, and has that binge-worthy factor of wanting to start the next episode immediately after watching the previous one.I could now, and if you want to, now’s the best time to start a binge watch. It’s all over with now, but there’s plenty of episodes to binge on, and it will take you some time to get through them all. Series 4 currently has 3 episodes which are specials. The first being “The Grand Tour: Seamen” and the latest being released almost a year later, “A Massive Hunt” which was set in Réunion and Madagascar. The 3rd in the chapter is Carnage A Trois which was released in December 2021. There’s work life, boyfriends and just going through life in general. It’s a really easy to watch show, and you’ll find yourself sitting down and binging on several shows all at once, if not entire series.
