About this deal

One point you should consider is what kind of battery your motorcycle uses. Lithium batteries are becoming more popular as they can offer better performance than traditional lead-acid ones. Charging mode gives a strong charge until the battery reaches 85% and then reduces the current until fully charged Simple To Connect – Even as a newbie, I was able to connect the product without any difficulty. Once I had accessed the battery in my motorcycle, I clipped on the crocodile clips (positive first!), then attached them to the Oximiser device using the white connector. I then plugged the device into the mains, and it began working instantaneously. If you intend to keep the charger connected long term, the permanent fixture can be attached simply by securely screwing it to the battery. The whole process can be done in under 15 minutes: it couldn’t be easier!

The problem I suspect with this method is that I have tried and failed to charge a flatted battery using a Brand New optimate. The optimiser was never any use after this. Hi does this optimiser come with all the leads or is it just the unit , withoutleads November 7, 2019 I bought this item and connected it up. It charges on bulk charge 0.87 amps then drops to maintain at 0.25 amps. I left it on for two days, the battery shows 12.8 volts plus, but it won't turn the engine over enough to start. If I use my old style car charger it will charge up ok but doesn't hold the charge for more than a few days even with the oximiser attached. Anyadvice? November 6, 2017 We would not recommend this for outdoor use, but it will be fine in a shed (as long as it does not getwet)

A professional switch mode charger designed to automatically maintain, optimise and prolong the life of a 12volt battery. It can be left permanently connected to provide guaranteed long-term battery care. Heavily discharged batteries as low as 4.1V can be charged if the battery is not damaged. Fast and efficient charging in all modes keeps charge times short and reduces main power consumption Once fully charged the Oximiser 3X stops charging and monitors the battery for an hour to establish if can hold a full charge. The ‘Maintain’ light flashes during this period. If the battery can’t hold its charge the ‘weak battery’ light comes on and the Oximiser 3X will keep charging until the battery is able to hold a charge. If it still fails to do so after three charges, the ‘weak’ light flashes and charging stops. AnswerThe Oximiser 3X can be used on lithium batteries, however all our other chargers have not been tested to be used on lithium batteries.

The Oxford Oximiser 3800 is capable of charging batteries from 1.2Ah up to 125Ah making it capable for carapplications. It's almost like sometimes it doesn't even see the battery, sometimes the charger does nothing when connected to it. Knowing what the Oximiser 3X is doing in each cycle allows me to now use it properly and leave it connected for long enough to go through the full cycles; I find it simple to understand what’s going on and what state my batteries are in. It’s much easier to understand than my old Optimate III because the display tells you the voltage, charge rate and whether the battery is strong or weak. If the battery is damaged, the Oximiser won’t attempt to recover it. If the battery is below 8V it will display as ‘weak’ and won’t attempt to recover it. If the battery is holding more than 8V the Oximiser will go into ‘recover’ mode, giving the battery a soft start charge at very low current. If the initial voltage is 12.5V or more, it goes straight into ‘charge’ mode. Is this charge suitable for Lithium Batteries. I have read some manufacturer statements saying as long as they are not left on for long periods and the chargers don't charge at 15+ volts they should befine? January 29, 2018Attach to your battery and it will charge until the battery has reached full capacity and thereafter ensure it is kept in a tip-top condition. If the battery is deeply discharged it will recover it with a varying charge rate and then it never drops below the critical voltage level of 12.6V. The digital displays and battery level indicators keep you informed every step of the way. They are suitable for a variety of vehicle batteries. Does it mean you can connect it to your bike whilst you are riding it, or just when it is instorage? November 30, 2011
