Individual smells sweet and fruity to me all the time, mainly raspberry. An Albanian colleague, which is also my hairdresser and until that time never evaluated my perfume, said "you smell good yes". Worth mentioning is a compliment I received from a lady's point of view.

The more I think about it, and after a couple years of Sartorial bouncing on and off my want list, and goodness how silly I know it sounds, Individuel is what I'd hoped Sartorial would be. And it's perfect for me. As the heart notes fade, an overtly sandalwood scent emerges to take centre stage. This is supported by a lighthearted white musk note and an unconventional raspberry note. The resulting bouquet is unusual but otherwise pleasant. I blind bought this from a guy on Mercari who claimed this was "too formal" for him. With that first blast, this one is as far from formal as you can get. It's so fun! What a great start to my day. As it finds its footing on my skin chemistry, I notice the formality in the form of an interesting metallic note. Well, I noticed the following when testing the fragrance several times: it does not change - linear progression from the beginning to the end. Individuel opens up with a spicy cinnamon note, with just a hint of lavender and fruit behind it. The fragrance then dives head first into a creamy raspberry smell for the remainder of the fragrance. It's a fairly linear smell to my nose. It's very clean, fruity, and inoffensive.My beginner's nose recognizes at the beginning a beautiful interplay of bergamot, juniper berry and washing powder, whereby the latter is discreet and hardly disturbing. I would say the raspberry plays a very central role, around which everything revolves. It is surrounded by sweet, floral, woody, and spicy notes, but there are so many and different that it is really hard for me to smell them out individually. Similarly, it’s hard to put a finger on a particular age range that is best suited to this fragrance. The budget and aspirational aspect of the fragrance may make it an attractive choice for younger men in their teens and twenties. However, the sandalwood accord would be more adapted to older men in their thirties or older. However, in recent years it caused a stir and gained traction within the fragrance community.
