It was like she had a dual personality; one face for Sundays and one for the rest of the week. (P80) This season, along with Season 4, aired in their entirety in the same year. (Season 4 in the spring of 2015, and Season 5 in the summer of 2015). This marks the first time in the show that 2 seasons aired in the same year. [1]

The need to understand mental health literacy and social perceptions of mental health is especially prominent in evangelical communities, whose theological praxis often situates mental health as vertically representative of the inner soul or spiritual life (Lloyd, 2021a). Lloyd et al. ( 2021) contend that this is owing to fundamentalist beliefs and literal interpretations of Scripture, which readily position all mental illnesses as tangible signs of demonic or other spiritual involvement. Whilst there are some variations to this definition, Bebbington ( 2003) defines evangelicalism as a Christian transdenominational movement emphasising spiritual change through being ‘born again’, the authority of the Bible, personal responsibility to proselytise, and the central importance of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Within the UK, 38% of the population currently identify as Christian (Curtice et al., 2019), with an estimated two million identifying as evangelical (Evangelical Alliance, 2020). These figures underline the central importance of understanding perceptions of mental illness in these communities. Morro served as the main antagonist of this season. [4] His relationship with Wu and his quest to curse Ninjago are vital to the whole season. After Harumi seemingly killed his friends, he felt angry with her, thus refusing to join her and her council. He even said that he would make her pay for her actions. Despite this, Lloyd still cared very much about her. He tried to convince Harumi to do the right thing and join the right side on multiple occasions. He even noticed her doubt and hesitation in some of her decisions, thus continuing to see the good inside of her, in spite of being enemies. The stem was brief and written in the third person with enough detail to ‘orient the participant to the focus of the story’ (Clarke et al., 2019, p. 10). The choice to include a third-person story stem was guided by Braun et al. ( 2019) who advise that third-person story stems may permit access to less socially desirable responses. It is theorised that because the participant is situated outside the story, there are fewer inferences of personal experience (Braun et al., 2019). A single-story stem was used to limit demand on participants and to maximise the chances of obtaining quality data. The final stem presented to participants was: Summer, a devout Christian, would sometimes self-harm. She... Participants were invited to read the story stem and to write what might happen next. They were asked not to spend too long thinking of a story but, rather, to respond with whatever came to mind, thereby providing readily available meanings. To ensure adequate data quality, all participants were asked to spend a minimum of 10 min writing the story or to produce roughly 200 words or 10 lines. The study instructions and story stem were first piloted with two participants prior to main study recruitment to ensure that the instructions were understandable. ParticipantsDuring " Green Destiny," Lloyd confronted his father with Wu who had returned and they fought as Garmadon declared them as his enemies. Lloyd's pleas for him to come to his senses fall on deaf ears, as Garmadon has no intention of reforming. When on the brink of certain doom, Lloyd uses Garmadon's overconfidence and will to fight against him by baiting him into prolonging the battle. Lloyd soon suddenly realizes that if Garmadon was fueled by the fight then he must stop fighting to defeat him. He manages to resist his father long enough for the latter to lose his power and for Lloyd to regain his own. Showing mercy, Lloyd refused to strike Garmadon down permanently, instead insisting that the fight was over. Before going to prison, Garmadon warned Lloyd that now that he was powerless, there was nothing that could stop Ninjago from being overcome by the approaching darkness. Despite no longer trusting his father, Lloyd heeded his words about the darkness and feared the coming of the Oni. This season introduces the character of Ronin, who would go on to be an anti-hero and ally to the ninja in following seasons. Although the stories varied in the exact source of the intervention, it was overwhelmingly from a female Christian (for instance, ‘A youth leader, Claire’ (P22), a Christian woman who opened up about her own self-harm (P9), ‘Emma, a Christian who also self-harmed’ (P30), ‘a girl her age’ (P92)). The female often had experienced self-harm herself and was able to offer support in a peer support capacity. Here, the importance of identification and compassionate intervention that placed Summer at the centre of her recovery was highlighted as a means of breaking the stigma around mental health and allowing for open conversation and inroads to recovery. Negative interventions: Loss of agency As they started to get used to the wind they all looked towards the doors. Wondering how the flew open when they were just shut tight.

In " Stop, Drop and Side Scroll", it's revealed that Lloyd harbored guilt for not being able to save Harumi from her death, as her avatar stated. During " Once and for All," they were confronted by Vex and his soldiers. Grimfax put his faith in Lloyd by telling him to split from the group and get through to Zane.

Kai: "See! There's always some job to be done. Get this one out of the way then you've got free time to do what you want." When Wu started to become concerned about a coalescence, he had Lloyd gather many scrolls about it before hoping he does a better job as master before the coalescence occurred, merging all the realms, and Wu ended up and remains missing. In this season and the next (plus the Wu's Teas shorts), most of the details on Nya's casual wear (mainly the gold parts) seem more reflective and shiny. As of Game Over, Racer Seven and Lloyd were freed from Prime Empire by a redeemed Unagami along with the other ninja and NPCs. After exiting the Manifestation Gate, Racer Seven spots Lloyd among the crowd and he sees her. She briefly smiles at Lloyd, in gratitude for giving her a new start in life. Lloyd accepted this with a smile of his own.

Zane and Lloyd have been good friends throughout the series. Lloyd and the other ninja have shown to really care about Zane, as they missed him when he sacrificed himself to defeat the Overlord. They meet again in " A Fragile Hope," where he listens to Lloyd plea to Zane and is left in a thought about it. In the dungeon, Grimfax questions Lloyd if he was really friends with Zane and if he could get through to him after Lloyd says he could, Grimfax released him. Thankful, Lloyd welcomes him to his resistance. A grieving Lloyd is possessed by the ghost of Morro – the Master of Wind and Wu’s first student. In Lloyd’s body, Morro renders the other ninja powerless before stealing Wu’s staff. It contains three hidden symbols, the path to finding the Tomb of First Spinjitzu Master. Wu knows that if Morro finds the tomb, he will claim the Realm Crystal. This relic has the power to open the fabric between realms, enabling the powerful Preeminent to enter the NINJAGO world. [citation needed] Episodes [ ] Season Ep #Nya has a bigger role in this season than the previous ones. Her story in becoming a Ninja is another important plot for this season. She once heard a few people in the row behind her make a joke about self-harm and in one small group, when self-harm came up in discussion, someone made a comment about demon possession, which everyone agreed with and moved on.
