About this deal

In summary, “The Last Ronin” is a riveting, beautifully rendered addition to the TMNT franchise, perfect for those craving depth and drama from their comic adventures. We won’t spoil the identity of the titular Last Ronin here. That reveal is a major part of the first issue of the series, and we assume the game will make a big deal out of revealing which of the four characters survives this hellish future. But if you want to know, we’ve got a full breakdown of the first issue of The Last Ronin. He embodies the essence of the darker, grittier storyline, starkly contrasting the jovial, pizza-loving turtles we once knew. The unarmored figure comes with two more somber portraits and the same two bandana pieces. The nice thing is if you get both, the four heads swap between the two figures and the two more somber portraits fit in the hood and the angry heads look great on the unarmored version. Don’t miss out on this stellar journey – just remember to hold the pizza and grab a box of tissues instead!

The turtles, once unified and vibrant, are replaced with a solitary figure grappling with the weight of loss. In short, while there’s no reason for The Last Ronin to be a carbon copy of the God of War games, there are many ways in which God of War is a fitting choice of inspiration for this action game. If anyone can match Kratos’ ferocity and rage on the battlefield, it’s the Ronin. Adapting the Story of The Last Ronin The NECA Last Ronin figures on the other hand are bonafide masterpieces. Full and accurate encapsulation of the art from the books, fully functional accessories, and logical proportions. The topless figure beautifully captures the wear and sadness of the character. The figures are essentially flawless. The only “flaw” I can force myself to see, is that the topless figure still has the bottom parts of the tunic. The flaps are obviously part of the tunic, not karuta haidate, so they really shouldn’t be there. Outside of that, FLAWLESS.Wielding the shattered remnants of his fallen brothers’ weapons, he stands as an enigma, shrouding his identity in mystery. Despite the darker tone, it remains true to its roots and delivers a conclusion that feels both satisfying and earned. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned; perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. It’s a miniature tribute to the enduring spirit of the Turtles, a symbol of resilience in the face of overwhelming odds. The open hands on both figures add a nice variety. The flat open hands especially make me want to make some bandanas for the unarmored figure to hold.

Isn’t it amazing when an old favorite gets a fresh twist? That’s precisely what’s happened with “The Last Ronin,” one of the latest entries in the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. The Last Ronin is almost surely going to be a very different experience from any Turtles game that has come before, and that’s exactly what has me so excited. This tale is a perfect choice for an ambitious, story-heavy action game. We just hope the developer in question can pull it off. The belt is the same across both figures, so the unarmored Ronin can store a bunch of the weapons in the belt. Both figures come with a grip of stuff. Armored has a katana with sheathe, sai, nunchakus, bo, four ninja stars, a grenade, goggles, removeable hood, claw on a rope, two heads (yelling and gritted teeth), two removeable bandana parts, three sets of hands (fists, grip, and open) and a tonfa. Mind you, if The Last Ronin were simply dark for the sake of being dark, it might not be a story worth adapting. We’ve seen plenty of games about lone protagonists cutting a wide swath of destruction as they seek to right a terrible wrong. Fortunately, there’s an undercurrent of hope and optimism to the series that offsets the grim and gritty elements. The Ronin’s character arc is less about whether he achieves his goal than it is learning to hope again and find reasons to live. That’s the arc we hope to see play out in the game adaptation.

But some games, like 2016’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan, really lean into the differences between the Turtles. Each character in that game has a unique ninjutsu style and special moves, and players are able to switch between Turtles at will. If you’ve been swept up by the tidal wave of The Last Ronin’s riveting story, this Funko Pop! figure is a must-have addition to your collection. This exclusive Funko Pop! figure beautifully captures the intricacies of his character, from the worn-out weapons of his brothers to the steely determination in his eyes. Note: this article was originally published on March 24, 2023 and updated on August 16, 2023 with the latest info about The Last Ronin. The breathtaking proximity piece of brothers Leonardo, Raphael, and Donatellois fully sculpted and painted in a spectral teal with white highlights to make the turtle trio stand out against the darkness of the ronin’s stealthy garb. Reaching their hands out to lend strength to their brother, these fallen heroes in a half shell are detailed with intricate costume textures and a base of ghostly wisps encompassing the entire scene. The Last Ronin Statue – Supreme Edition can be displayed with or without this element attached. Without the ghost brothers, the statue measures 20.5” tall.

The sword is different between the two figures because it gets damaged as part of the story. It’s also got fantastic metallic paints and a nice wash on the handle.Sideshow and Premium Collectibles Studiopresent the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin 1:4 Scale Statue. Custom-made 6″ figure depicting the Last Ronin from the upcoming IDW series. Created by re-purposing pieces of existing figures, extensive modding, sculpting, and repainting. The Ultimate Raphael figure includes swappable head pieces and several hands along with Raph's arsenal of weaponry including an arrow and a throwing knife. The Ultimate Karai figure also has a throwing knife, interchangeable heads and hands and a sword with a sheath. Both figures come with an illustration by Ben Bishop, the artist of The Last Ronin comic.

The grip hands on both figures are super tight, but they help the figure hold super tiny accessories like the ninja stars, knives, and bomb. The knives from the unarmored figure actually fit in a little slot in the fist. The Sai and Nunchaku and tonfa are the same between the two figures and they have great detail and when there is metallic paint it has a great shine to it and some lovely detail enhancing washes. I did feel like I needed to heat up the hands a bit to get some of the weapons in there. The pointing hand from the unarmored version can also hold the sai in a cool way.Sideshow and Premium Collectibles Studiopresent the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin 1:4 Scale Statue – Supreme Edition.
