About this deal

This is because (if you were not already aware) it is very common for electric toothbrushes, particularly Oral-B models, to sell at around 50% less than retail price.

The battery indicator light is not good, especially when compared to the more expensive Oral-B models. It does not give adequate warning before the battery runs out.You may have the technique and routine nailed in which case the Genius 9000 and the extra movements it offers may bring benefits to yourself. Reply It is designed this way to mimic their top of the line iO Series and does away with the large rubber grip on the front of the handle that you find on the 2500. There is a great deal to like about the iO and this is without a doubt a step up for Oral-B. But, the downside is the price. It costs quite a bit more than the Genius X and does not deliver significant benefits that would be justifiable to most for the price. Conclusion The CrossAction brush head is of medium firmness and also features indicator bristles. These indicator bristles fade over time, letting you know when the brush head needs changing This travel case holds the handle and up to 2 brush heads. It is a transparent case and is fairly basic in its overall design, but most importantly, it is functional.

The Pro 3 – 3000 has 3 cleaning modes (Daily Clean, Sensitive & Whitening) compared to the 2 modes (Daily Clean & Sensitive) of the Pro 2 2500. For the majority of people, myself included the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 is the toothbrush to go for. It offers a balance of cleaning performance and features at a price most will find affordable. The Pro 3 3500 has 3 cleaning modes (Daily Clean, Sensitive & Whitening) compared to the 2 modes (Daily Clean & Sensitive) of the Pro 2 2500. The front of the handle is very simple. It has an on/off button that feels solid to press. If the on/off button is pressed multiple times then it also changes the cleaning mode. It only has two cleaning modes, daily clean and gum care. I always use it on daily clean mode because the gum care mode feels very weird and am not convinced it actually cleans very well. Putting this to shame is the 9000’s travel case which is heavier, bulkier but much more premium to look at and touch. It also has the ability to charge the brush in the case, by connecting the provided charging cable. If this is not enough, a USB cable can be connected to the case and charge a device like a smartphone. All three of the electric toothbrushes take between 5-6 hours to charge fully from being discharged. I usually just leave them overnight and by morning they are ready to brush for another week. Battery Life: Verdict At the front of the electric toothbrush handle, close to its base there are two icons. One is the battery indicator light and the other is the charging icon. I will discuss this more in detail later.

If you look at them, you will see that the Pro 2 2500 has a large rubber grip that runs down the front of the handle, which the Pro 3 – 3500 does not have. Unlike the Pro 2 2000, it does not have a large rubber grip that runs down the middle of the brush handle. Whilst this does make the Pro 1000 a little easier to wipe and keep clean, it does mean the Pro 2 feels a little more secure in the hand. Your brushing time, frequency and technique will have a bigger impact than the number of movements alone. Power isn’t normally promoted or documented as it is a small part of the toothbrushing experience. More power doesn’t necessarily equal a better clean. Your total brushing time and technique have a big part to play. The same principle applies to the Pro 2 2500. The letter at the end of the model number depicts the brush head it comes provided with. The roundhead of the toothbrush cleans more effectively in comparison to a normal brush. It comes with two modes for daily clean and gum care. It has a visible pressure sensor for stopping you if you are too harsh on your teeth. ThePro 600 offers 8,800 oscillations and 20,0000 pulsations whilst the 2000 offers 9,900oscillations and 45,000 pulsations.

The Pro 2 2500 has a larger rubber grip on the front of the handle that the Pro 3 – 3500 does not have. There is no battery in the case, to charge the brush and anything connected via the USB cable the case has to be connected to mains power. All three electric toothbrushes have slim line profiles. This means that they are easy to hold however the battery life is lower than other electric toothbrushes. The Oral-B Pro 2000, 3000 and 2500 all will last on average 28 minutes which is a weeks worth of usage cleaning twice a day for two minutes. If you share the holder then you will need to charge more frequently.
