About this deal

Fukuzawa treats Ranpo to red bean porridge, where the boy talks about his bewilderment towards adults, his expulsions at school and work, and his genius parents. Figuring that Ranpo is quite special, Fukuzawa allows the boy to come with him amidst his initial reluctance. They soon arrive at a theater, where Fukuzawa is hired to apprehend a criminal after receiving a death threat signed by an ambiguous "V". They are met by the manager, Egawa, who shows Fukuzawa the note regarding the murder, which Ranpo thinks will happen. poi io non pensavo di ottenere così tanto devasto da /verlaine/ ceh io ero partit dal presupposto che sarebbe stato una rottura di scatole antipatica per tutto il libro E INVECE NO pure lui dovevo percepire i hate everything Again, Asagiri sensei... How dare you make me cry again for the infinite times because of bsd... Your words never failed to pierce our hearts, the ending is absolutely beautiful 🥺 Last but not least, Dazai, yet again the mastermind of everything, though this time I can surely say Chuuya is the one who gives him ✨hope✨. I'm sorry Dazai but u seem to have lost this round 👀

I loved The Flags, I wish we could get more stories with them. I loved how they valued their friendship and how they went out of their way to bring that anniversary gift. How they wanted Chuuya to feel human, to celebrate together and just have fun. And I love how much Chuuya cares even though he tries to act cool.

It's been roughly one year since Chūya Nakahara joined the Port Mafia, and he's got his sights set on an executive position. But as he makes plans to move up, a man by the name of Paul Verlaine—claiming to be his older brother—appears and vows to assassinate everyone he cares about! Now, Chūya must team up with Adam, a European A.I. investigator, to stop this lunatic before the storm swallows Yokohama once again… [2] Summary [ ] Prologue Beast - tells the story of an alternative version of the world of Bungo Stray Dogs. The light novel has been adapted into three manga volumes. It is not part of the main BSD universe. Anyways, I read these 2 books in the translated Korean version, and I could still see the quality of writing Asagiri had presented.

The light novel continues the story after the events of "Fifteen" and the Arahabaki incident. This book basically explores Chuuya's past. I absolutely loved this book and this was one of my most anticipated releases for this year. No way I could ever rate it less than 5 stars. It has everything I needed - no romance, fight scenes, sci-fi, supernatural abilities and great characters. Also, only bungou stray dogs can make you empathize even with the anatgonists. Twelve years ago, Yukichi Fukuzawa is a lone wolf bodyguard renowned for his skill in martial arts. After his client, a company CEO, has been killed in her office, he heads to the crime scene, where he meets her [[ secretary and the suspect tied up next door. An adolescent soon arrives to apply for a job, who later claims that the secretary is the real killer after stating his deduction. During a later skirmish with the suspect – a young assassin named Oda – the latter shoots the secretary to death. Fukuzawa subdues Oda and asks the adolescent to call an ambulance, after which the prodigy introduces himself as Ranpo Edogawa. Osamu Dazai’s entrance exam - takes place two years before the start of the main series and follows Dazai’s admission into ADA. The light novel has been adapted into the anime, however it is not a faithful adaptation of the light novel. I love how most of the characters in Bungou stray dogs are basically just trying to find a purpose, a rasion d'etre. Idky but this has always been close to my heart.

Discussions

The Bungo Stray Dogs light novels are a group of stories not in the manga. (Although a few have manga adaptions) The only comfort i found is the fact that both Atsushi, Akutagawa, even Kyouka and Gin, was finally able to be free and are finally on a right journey to find themself, their own happiness, without their past hanging around them. The untold origins of the agency - takes place twelve years before the start of the series and follows Fukuzawa and Ranpo’s meeting, as well as the forming of the agency. It has been adapted into the anime.

AND THE ENDING OH MY STOP MY HEART BREAKS HUHUHUHHU I didn't see that coming. I cried so hard when reading 55 Minutes (the fourth light novel) and this one made me CRY A LOT TOO. Asagiri sensei really be hurting us like that hahhahaha but it's fine, I know eventually something like that will happen, even in the real story (be strong, my heart). Since A-P does not list these titles separately, this review will have to combine my thoughts on the titles I have read.I am crying so hard and so constantly over Chuuya Nakahara and his entire life and how his general existence brings me so much comfort despite being fictional. he is the love of my life. he is the key to my heart. he is my highest kin. for him i will be pretentious and dramatic and sentimental at a DROP OF A HAT. SERIOUSLY. IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THIS NOVEL OR WATCHED/READ BUNGOU STRAY DOGS, WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING WITH YOUR LIFE? YOU’RE MISSING OUT ON SO MUCH AND I COULD GO IN DETAIL WITH AN EXTENSIVE ESSAY BUT I WON’T DO THAT BECAUSE⸺PERHAPS I’D LIKE TO GATEKEEP THIS FOR A LITTLE WHILE LONGER. una delle top review che goodreads mi mostra per questo libro è "all gay people do is hurt me" e onestamente non posso che trovarmi d'accordo, quindi freeboterò la frase e inizio la mia review così. Over a decade before the events of the manga series, a chance encounter leads professional bodyguard Yukichi Fukuzawa to begrudgingly take an arrogant boy genius named Ranpo Edogawa under his wing. Their first job brings them to a local theater on high alert after receiving a bizarre death threat — a challenge that will require both Ranpo's brains and Fukuzawa's experience. The aftermath spurs Fukuzawa to establish the Armed Detective Agency, an organization that takes on dangerous jobs even the police won't handle! What If" and "If Only" are two sides of the same coin - one speaks of possibility and potential while the other of loss and that which will never come to be. This entry into the Bungo Stray Dogs universe captures both of them as it presents a version of the world where Atsushi joins a Port Mafia that Dazai never left while Akutagawa joins an Armed Detective Agency where Odasaku fills Dazai's place. The King of Assassins Incident is swept under the rug due to the intervention of European agencies. Chūya sees Shirase off to London, while Chūya and Dazai receive British investigators and Adam's creator, Dr. Wollstonecraft, to conduct investigation with the Mafia. Chūya apologizes for Adam's sacrifice saving his life, though Dr. Wollstonecraft reveals someone from her suitcase who ostensibly turns out to be Adam. Verlaine survives after Rimbaud used his ability to resuscitate him and comes to terms with Rimbaud before the latter finally passes on, and Verlaine gets confined in a Mafia underground shelter as an executive training assassins. Adam continues with his investigations alongside another humanoid like him, while Chūya later visits who appear to be the parents of the "original" Chūya. It is highly implied that the current Chūya is actually the original Chūya, due to a scar on his right wrist that would not have been present in an artifical skill-derived life-form, since the scar was obtained long before his skill was turned into a singularity. After some time, Chūya decides against meeting his parents to Mori's confusion, as Chūya merely asserts that the Port Mafia is now his family.

Put and end to this lonely soul--the soul of a man who couldn't trust the world or its people like you do."While I was reading it, I said that Odasaku being alive was the best part, and as it turns out, I wasn't wrong - it's just that I didn't fully understand why it was so. The reason is tied up in this being the one world where Dazai, who has never stopped mourning Odasaku's death in the main story, desperately wants to live, but it's also the one where he cannot. Odasaku and Dazai can't exist forever together, and that gives rise to the contradiction of both "what if" and "if only" being present in the same story. You can change one thing, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you can change everything. Es cierto… no estoy particularmente interesado en este mundo. No es algo que sabía que estaba por desaparecer. El yo de otro posible mundo seguro diría eso. Pero verás…—Dazai hizo una pausa, cerró los ojos y sonrió con nostalgia.—Este es el único mundo en el que él vive y escribe novelas. No puedo dejar que este mundo desaparezca. I read that book a few days ago, and I couldn't stop myself from reading the next volume eventhough I have my end of year exam in 2 weeks.
