About this deal

Open the ramp and out slides a tray of Cad Bane’s loot. There isn’t much space inside, although you can probably toss a minifigure lying down in there. Each member of the Bad Batch possesses unique talents and their specialised armours are designed to accentuate such abilities. Hunter appears the closest to normal Clone Troopers, sporting pearl dark grey commando armour with dark red accents. The colour combination is appealing and metallic silver panels are also included to provide welcome contrast.

The build itself was fairly straight forward, and I was surprised at the quality of colour delineation in the instruction manual – instructions were quite clear, and I did not find myself confusing sand blue and medium stone grey at any point. The jail cell for Omega uses a translucent red wall panel which is pretty accurate, and the Omega minifigure fits comfortably inside. In previous years, some LEGO fans would have considered this to be an ‘illegal’ technique, but it looks great and it’s nice that LEGO is using it in sets nowadays. The second minifigure in the set is Hunter, which makes sense as he was the one accompanying Omega when Cad Bane kidnapped her.

Keepability [3] – The Cad Bane and Omega figures will be really desirable but the ship itself isn’t particularly iconic nor memorable. There are some exposed colourful Technic elements behind, but I don’t mind too much as covering them up would’ve significantly reduced the already limited space in this section. The BARC speeder has essentially been recoloured from the 501st squadron set, and as such feels a little uninspired. Obviously, the stars of this LEGO Star Wars set are the minifigures. Nevertheless, it’s fair to expect the main vehicle to reflect key exterior and interior details of the “real” vehicle, which this scaled-down version does not. The huge speeder bikes feel like they detract from the potential of the shuttle, rather than adding to the overall set.

Includes speeder with 2 stud shooters and another speeder with clip for blaster to add to play possibilities The Justifier becomes even longer (though loses some of its height) when placed into landing mode – rotating the entire engine pod subassembly into a horizontal pose.

Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, Echo, and Crosshair hit the bricks after Order 66.

The ingenious Bad Batch was introduced during Star Wars: The Clone Wars and possesses varied abilities, surpassing normal Clone Troopers. This impressive squad now appears during their own animated series, following the foundation of the burgeoning Galactic Empire. Hunter also has his unique gunmetal grey helmet, which looks good. I always like it when LEGO includes both hairpieces and helmets for relevant minifigures.

Additionally, employing this element enables the canopy to open smoothly, although access is restricted by the dorsal wing. Fortunately, another method is available. The boarding ramp and entrance are not functional, inevitably, but they are represented by one dark bluish grey 2x2 tile which seems appropriately distinctive among the surrounding components. Senior Graphic Designer Madison O'Neil on creating those amazing new minifigures -- including a revealing look at Crosshair. Each member of the Bad Batch has a distinct personality and a unique set of armor. Also, despite the fact that they are clones, they each have unique facial features whether that be scars, face paint, goggles, tattoos, and even cybernetic implants. We wanted to make sure to capture all of these fun features in the minifigures, and we created a few new elements to help with that as well. Seeing Crosshair’s new set of armor for the first time made me very excited to watch the new Bad Batch series! I can’t wait to see how and why he gets it." Considering the set already has a low piece count, I would’ve appreciated some more pieces being used for texturing on the ship.Personally I feel like it feels like more of a warship instead of a personal ship for Cad Bane, but that’s more an issue with Lucasfilm’s design than LEGO. I appreciate the final craft: it’s satisfying to hold and swoosh, a little less so to display with the wings deployed. The fact that it can hold four members of the crew is an added bonus The speeder bikes are a nice addition to the set, providing another focus for some action away from the shuttle. The first bag includes the parts for two speeder bikes. These are very standard LEGO Star Wars speeders, and we’ll return to them later in the review. And … that’s all the minifigs. If you’re caught up on The Clone Wars enough to be watching The Bad Batch as it airs, a key character is clearly missing from the minifig assortment: Omega. Five minifigs make sense for the price point, and of course, we would want all members of the original Clone Force 99, but the set feels incomplete without this new character. Conclusions & recommendation It’s a rather sizeable build, measuring around 40cm wide and 40cm long, plus roughly 20cm tall in flight mode.
