I think one of the main reasons I love this fragrance is the fact that it is just blended so well, the notes are not competing for my attention, they've just closed into one another and formed a very strong and well put together scent. There are moments where the Patchouli shouts out for attention, but its quite tame and almost muted in this fragrance. Its not in your face and its not obnoxious in the way it is with fragrances like Angel and Tom Ford's Purple Patchouli (which irritates the life out of me).

Hail to the mighty ambrette seed, sexual fluidity and open defiance. Shout out to the girl working in a mans world and killing it. To the elegant gentleman that dares to wear this,yea I'm talking to you pal, you've stolen my heart. There is that menthol patchouli note but it doesn’t overwhelm the other players. He seems to keep the others grounded.Well, it's, to me, actually more of a rose centered fragrance. With a slightly bitter base giving it that chypre feeling. To be honest I don't hate it but there's something in it that I can't get along with..patchouli is not my fav but I usually like it,specially when it's paired with rose and spices

I also recieved some negative comments while wearing this so I decided to put it in my drawer and wait for the right time to give it another try Just make sure to not overspray,give it enough time to settle down and don't wear it in hot summer days The patch is strong (as you'd imagine) in this, but there seems little else of interest is happening. Opens with patch, continues with patch, closes with patch...which is all well and good, but I can buy a bottle of good Patchouli essential oil, a bottle of carrier oil, and make myself a body oil that achieves the same effect for a lot less money. And I often do just that, or add some patchouli oil to unscented body lotion to make a lovely body lotion to layer with my perfumes.
