About this deal

alienware aw2521hf 5ms (standard), 2.6ms extreme, ultra fast( 3.6ms). Optimal is 4ms standard, anything higher gives overshoot unless free sync/g-sync is on(which adds input lag and it's NOT worth it). it's a DOUBLe certified freesync/gsync compatible. which explains overshoot mitigation if its on. (any form of adaptive sync is USELESS on 240hz monitors, the added input lag is simply not worth it unless you have motion blur reduction in conjunction of it)

As far as the cable question, I have no clue which would be better, as I have no clue what version HDMI the PS4Pro shipped with. That said, just a personal opinion thing here that I never use any cable that "comes" with anything. Companies are bean counters and bottom liners. They include a cable from a company that simply gave them the best deal during negotiations, and to pull that off that company HAD to cut some corners, and/or you can be guaranteed (IMO) its not a world class level cable. And when cables are so cheap now, I just wonder why not buy new ones that you know for sure what the version and brand is. Approximate diagonal size of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the diagonal is calculated from the width and height of the screen. You can elevate the screen of the monitor up to 130mm and tilt it by -5°/20°, but you cannot swivel or pivot the screen. Alternatively, you can mount the screen via the 100x100mm VESA pattern.

TAILORED FOR THE PERFECT FIT

gonna be honest with you. You don't notice a difference since their native refresh rate at 240hz(presuming you put "80" on the Asus and faster on the MSI) is basically the same. The only slight difference is maximum error rate that i saw but overral it's 7%(not noticeable) and that can be mitigated by adaptive sync/g sync compatibility. 3.1 g2g vs 3.8 g2g is not noticeable. It is one of the fastest IPS panels on the market, waiting for the 300Hz ones to come out, with the obvious benefit that IPS technology offers over TN regarding viewing angles and color. Buying an IPS monitor NOT for its colors is a MAJOR disrespect to the luxury of owning an IPS monitor. Then again, that's just my opinion. If we have learned something from it, it is the raw power it has and how well optimized it is; we would say that it is one of the best 24.5-inch gaming monitors that we have tested.

But we expected a little more, and we will not have available the possibility of rotating the screen, nor the orientation in the Z-axis as horizontal movement. So I recently got the Mag251rx but I felt like it seemed to have a brown-ish/yellow-ish tint to it especially noticeable on white images. Coming from a previous monitor with superb colors it felt out of place in my setup. Under GAMING, I have " Game Mode" set to USER, " Night Vision" OFF, " Response Time" set to FASTEST, and " Anti Motion Blur" OFF.Information about the maximum vertical viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality. The next degree of freedom is given directly by the support mechanism, which allows us to adjust its vertical orientation. here are pictures(for the sake of convenience, i'm using pedro and foriis photos, so credits to them)

At this point, we believe that the strengths of this MSI Optix MAG251RXare quite clear, but after a few days of using it, it is worth giving our point of view and the experience it has given us.I also tested it on the UFO test, and found zero to very minimal blurring, ghosting or any other artifacts. If there were any, they would have been hardly perceptible to the human eye… or at least, this human eye. For connectivity, the MSI MAG251RX uses one DisplayPort 1.2a input, two HDMI 2.0 port, and one USB Type-C port. In addition, the monitor has a triple-port USB 2.0 hub and a headphone output. MSI knows how to choose quality panels, as the 240Hz displays of the new generation of notebooks are similar. A complete OSD menu is available to the user, making it better than the Gaming OSD software for Windows.
