About this deal

This sophisticated optical design is critical to low-maintenance and long life guarantee. Exposure to airborne particles and moisture is avoided, thereby ensuring that no outside influences can penetrate the housing and disrupt functionality. Nitrogen purged Pentax binoculars take quality optics to the next level by applying a new, optimized film-deposition technology on lens and prism surfaces resulting in increased light transmission which creates bright images with accurate colour rendition BaK4 prisms alliance and 12.4x32 stomil john deere 6430 sam morton rowcrop wheels and tyres with 50% tread , in excellent condition, fully adjustable centres

So whilst the average person in the street incorrectly assumes that the most powerful binoculars must be the best, this is far from the case and the best magnification almost always depends on your particular requirements: Viewing Distances & Image Detail Thanks to new fully multi-coated lenses, phase correction, BaK4 prism, and new enhanced light transmission coating, the Pentax AD 9x28 WP binoculars provide crystal sharp images and superb contrast. They have all the quality features found in the entire roof prism range Pentax has on offer: inner focusing, water and dust proof, nitrogen-purged, fully rubberised body, focus wheel and twist-up eyecups for comfortable handling and easy focusing. Thanks to modern design, compactness and high performance features, they deliver outstanding viewing enjoyment. A PAIR OF 4406528 MICHELIN SECONDHAND TYRES WITH 10MM TREAD , ALL IN GOOD CONDITION , SOLD AS APAIR Whilst comparing a mid priced binocular like the Pentax DCF with other binoculars that are far more expensive may seem a little unfair at first, but as long as you keep in mind the price difference, it does throw up a few interesting points and can highlight a few of their relative strengths and weaknesses. For instance as you can see, one of their real highlights is the extremely long 18mm of eye-relief and as predicted their field of view is wider then most 10x compacts apart from the Minox 10x25 BV. Included Extras & Attention to Detail: Whilst these silver mirror coatings are excellent and increase the reflectivity compared to most standard binoculars on the market, some optical manufacturers go even further and use dielectric prism coatings that have a reflectivity of more than 99% - but these are usually only found on binoculars at the very top end of the market.

Mobile Fitting

As I said, I am not sure if, or which one of these coatings are used on this Pentax, but my guess is that it would either be a sliver or aluminium one as if it was a dielectric mirror coating, they would definitely highlight the fact. a pair of 3808528 vredestein tyres on a pair of john deere 10 stud rims tyres are 99 percent good, rims are also in very good condition, sold as apair a pair of 28l 26 russian partworn tyres on 8 stud ford newholland rims 60-70 percent tyres, all good, sold as a pair here I have a secondhand pair of 13.6r38 goodyear radials on john deere 8stud rims , came off a jd2140, tyres in excellent condition, rims need a coat of paint, sold as pair

With both sizes the last number is the RIM (the diameter of the hole in the middle of the tyre) in inches (28 inches in our example). The first number is the tyre WIDTH (know as Section Width), and in our example it would be 16.9 inches or 420mm. The 'R' if presents means you have a tyre of RADIALconstruction, and the '-' if present means the tyre is of CROSSPLY construction. But what if you want the best of both worlds? What for example if you want to go on safari and look at the elephants, lions and the many antelope species out on the plains as well as go birding in the forests? Well Pentax have obviously spotted a gap in the market and are one of the few brands that I know have that have produced a number of binoculars with a 9x magnification, that offer a little more power than the average 8x binocular, but should in theory still have a fairly wide field of view. A compact version is the Pentax 9x28 DCF LV binoculars and below is my full review: The Body The lenses have been fully multi-coated to maximize the amount of light passing through the lens and to help prevent flare and ghosting. The twist-up (helicoid) mechanism on these Pentax binoculars is excellent - it is very smooth and has 4 fixed stops (2 intermediate), meaning that eyeglass wearers have a good amount of flexibility when adjusting the eye-relief to suit their exact needs. The maximum of 18mm of eye-relief is excellent and they easily make it onto my list of long eye relief binoculars. It also means that this should be more than enough for most people who wear glasses to be able use these optics without having to remove their glasses and still get the full field of view without any vignetting. Non-eyeglass wearers will just use the eyecups in the fully extended position. goodyear bald tyre caseings , all came of tubeless very little tread but sound caseings, would do as trailer tyres michelin xm108 tractor tyre in perfect condition with about25% tread 15mm, sound tyre, NOT HIGH SPEED FOR FASTRC The amount of softening of the image right at the edge of the view is very minimal and only really noticeable if you are actually looking for it. This is very impressive and in this area, it makes theses as good as or better than most in this class and even as good as many binoculars that are far more expensive than these. Binoculars with a powerful magnification are in theory able to deliver greater image detail than those with lower powers. Or to put it another way, you are often able to see more at greater distances with more powerful binoculars.

a pair of 16.9x28 pneumant xply tyres and massey 65 rear rimms , all in good condition , tyres about60-70 percent good, sold as apairPENTAX waterproof products are fully sealed and purged with laboratory grade nitrogen to provide a fog proof view in the harshest weather conditions. With a JIS Class 6 rating, PENTAX waterproof binoculars can even be submerged in up to 3 feet of water. Inner Focus Optics Design Thus it stands to reason that if you are generally going to be observing objects at longer ranges, a 10x or perhaps even a 12x magnification might be the right option. Although, having said that, there are still many other factors and consequences brought about by the higher power that you still need to take into consideration before making your final choice: Field of View If you are willing to try a 7 x 26 reverse porro prism binocular here is one that is generally considered the best of the bunch. It is very good and costs about the same as the Pentax but is not waterproof. I have one too. I like it quite a bit and optically it is better than the Pentax 9 x 28 and it has a much wider Field of View but I'd rather use the Pentax. I like it's ergonomics and ease of use better. In their marketing material, Pentax also state that they have used a "Sub-prism-Super-refraction coating." I have not been able to find out exactly what this is, but my guess is that it is a highly reflective mirror coating used on the prism. These coatings are often found on the better roof prism binoculars because whilst this prism design has many advantages over the porro prism design, it does have one major problem in that one surface of the prism does not have total internal reflection. Therefore to get the best optical performance it is very important for to raise the reflectivity of this surface and to do this, a mirror coating is used on those surfaces.

The metric sizes (420/85R28) tell you the PROFILE percentage after the width, here it is 85% profile (this means the side walls on the tyre are 85% as tall as the width of the tyre). This profile can be ignored if your tyre size if written in imperial as it is not given. In normal daylight conditions most people’s pupils tend to measure around 3mm in diameter, so, in these conditions, exit pupils much larger than 3mm are not really necessary as the extra light does not pass into your eyes. This roof prism Pentax binocular uses a center focusing (internal focus) lens construction. The eyepiece consists of 5 elements in 4 groups, with the outermost ocular lens having a diameter of 17mm. The 28mm objective lenses consists of 3 elements arranged into 2 groups. Pentax have used good quality BaK-4 roof prisms as opposed to the cheaper and inferior BK-7 prisms. The prisms and lenses also have a number of coatings on them that help to increase their transmittance and the quality of the image produced which I will go thorough in more detail below:The complex optical design of roof prism binoculars provide durable, compact, yet lightweight design but require a higher level of optical perfection. a phase-correction coating is applied in the full range of roof prism binoculars to maximise image viewing quality. PENTAX Waterproofing Binoculars with 6x and 7x binoculars make it very easy to keep a steady view and in my experience, the difference between an 8x power and a 10x power is not massive. I can personally maintain an acceptably stable image for most terrestrial uses with a 12x magnification, but any higher and I almost always need to use a tripod. Whilst not always the case, the minimum focus distance tends to be closer on binoculars with lower magnifications.
