About this deal

Working days are defined as Monday-Friday 8am-7pm inclusive, excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Try a test area first to ensure that colour and adhesion are acceptable. Colour testers are available to assist in your colour choice. Please note that the colour in the can may be different to the final shade when dry. A. It's important that you use a wood preservative that doesn't contain wax, oil or silicone as these will prevent the paint from penetrating and adhering to the wood. Wood preservers that are advertised as being waterproof and resistant to weathering often contain wax, oil, silicone or a combination of these.

Find out how to prune English lavender to make it look better and last longer. Photos of my lavender from 2013-2023 are proof that it works! Test a small area first for colour and adhesion: Colour the final colour will depend upon the type of surface, previous treatment and number of coats applied. If using more than one can it is advisable to mix them together in a container or finish in a corner before starting a new can. Adhesion: if adhesion is inadequate on previously coated surfaces, lightly sand before application. Q. I want to use a wood preserver on my garden fencing before painting with Cuprinol Garden Shades. Which one should I use? Cuprinol Garden Shades 1L has been specially developed to colour and protect sheds, fences and other garden wood. Its special pigments ensure a rich colour and allow the natural texture of the wood grain to shine through. Q. Is Cuprinol Garden Shades suitable for garden fences and is it solvent-based? Does it contain any wax?

A. Absolutely! Cuprinol Garden Shades is suitable for any garden structure including summerhouses and log cabins. If it's a bare wood structure, new or old, its probably worth treating it with a wax free wood preservative first to protect the wood from mould, algae and fungi. Allow this to fully dry before painting. Its important than any preservative used is wax free otherwise the paint may not adhere to the structure. Untreated wood: should be pre-treated prior to adhesion test with an appropriate wood preserver to prevent rot and decay. You could paint your shed lime green with Ronseal’s Lime Zest. There are lots of different examples – city modernist, country calm, zingy colours. First decide if yours is a country, classic, urban or brightly coloured garden. Then dither. Heaven. Larger items over 30kg can only be delivered Monday to Friday. Please allow up to two working days for these deliveries. Saturday Delivery Stir thoroughly before pouring contents into a Cuprinol sprayer. Overspraying surrounding areas can be minimized by avoiding spraying in windy conditions and by using cardboard or plastic as a shield. Any overspray should be cleaned up immediately (whilst still wet) with water and household detergent. Shake contents of the tin thoroughly before decanting into Cuprinol Spray and Brush sprayer (not suitable for use with the Cuprinol Power Sprayer) A. It depends on how long ago your shed and fence panels where oiled. Cuprinol Garden Shades paint is a water based product so any remaining oil or wax from previous treatments will likely repel the paint. If the timber hasn't been treated for a couple of years it may be OK. In situations like this we always recommend a test area before starting the main project to test adhesion.Q. Is Cuprinol Garden Shades suitable for a large log cabin / summerhouse at the end of the garden?
