You’re my heaven.” Nicole Fiorina is the new author to me and I'm so glad that she found me and asked me to read her debut book because she impressed me with her book and writing style. i don't know, it just felt like the character development of Mia and the personality of Ollie from book 1 is WAY different and kinda ruined for me because of the tropes i hated here. but hey, others might perceive things differently.

i’ve been staring at this blank screen for what seems like forever now. i’m still speechless after reading this book…i barely got any sleep because that cliffhanger!?!?! i need to start the last book asap so please don’t expect much from this review🥲 my ollie. my sweet, sweet ollie. the poet. the man who was thrown into a reformatory college for feeling too much. the man who wasn’t loved enough as a child…who was abused by his mother and brother, but still turned out to be the man of my dreams. if i had a dollar for every time this man gave me butterflies and made me smile, swoon, blush, giggle, scream, cry happy tears, etc…i’d be the richest person alive🙈everything that came out of this man’s mouth was beautiful…like i want his words tattooed all over my body. if he were a star in the sky…he’d shine the brightest. my love, need, want, and obsession for this man will never go away. he flooded my entire heart, soul, and mind<3 These are my personal opinions and this rating/review is not a negative reflection of the author or other readers who enjoyed it. This book wasn’t for me, but I hope others are able to enjoy it. no one has the right to insult something they can’t understand, and tears shouldn’t be wasted on misunderstanding” i’m not ok. i devoured this this book in less than 24 hours and am simply. not. okay. i’m also speechless. review to come after i get some sleep and process wtf just happened…oh i loved it btw (if y’all couldn’t tell🙈) but wtf :D

i was so scared, so so scared for the last 30%. but it actually kinda went downhill for me. that’s why i couldn’t rate this higher. everything happened kinda fast and i felt like the scenes and feelings weren’t fully developed. don’t get me wrong, it kept my attention, but it felt anticlimactic how fast it all progressed. i’m OBVIOUSLY relieved we didn’t get to THAT extreme. also... i just wanna say, ollie and mia knew something went wrong every time they “played” or drank with everyone else and they STILL put themselves in that position like 5 more times. dude. just don’t go. i’m obsessed with him. i’m in love with the way he loves her. i’m in love with their love. i’m just so…in love😩 I can't say I was the whole time happy with the decisions that characters did make but that is the beauty of a good book worth reading and your time. there is insta love here and i really don't like this trope at all because i prefer a realistic progression but i actually find it very endearing here. and don't get me wrong, there's definitely progression but insta love is still present, especially in the H's side. this is definitely more character-driven than action/adventure type of book so if you like that, i definitely recommend this. Even When I'm Gone, left us hanging off a cliff in a completely different way than it's predecessor, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book to see how everything would play out!This book.....this one did me in, I'm an emotional mess and after letting this one sink in, I've realized that there is no way this story won't be on my favorites list and a TOP READ! The romance between these two is both inspiring and emotional and they sometimes can’t fight their feelings and that is when things really heat up. I ate up every scene where Ollie and Mia were together. The supporting characters were also awesome in this book. Zeke played a big role, he is the mute boy who was Ollies friend and who Mia would sit and talk to in the cafeteria.

she cooked. mia rose cooked, and i was bloody impressed. since we moved in, we’d survived on takeout. she gathered her hair in one hand and pulled it off her shoulders, admiring her work. her head tilted, and i watched from behind with a cheeky smile as her palm rested on her hip, leaning into it. Mia and Ollie's relationship is the real roller coaster because one second they are together and everything is perfect and the other they are not and everything going to apart. i haven’t started yet because i was at my bf’s grandfather’s viewing today and tomorrow is his funeral so this is why i’ve been so busy as of late🥺ily all tho, you guys always brighten my days<3but that epilogue just about killed me! i knew that particular character was up to no good! i really can't wait to read the third one because i just NEED an HEA. please don’t let this be another dnf cuz now that i dnf’d a book for the very first time…i won’t be able to stop😋i have high hopes tho hehe🤭 I need to know what happens after, oh, my Gosh. The cliffhanger. I am so mad right now that this is not on Kindle Unlimited (I have to return my Kindle anyways because of a bug in the system), or in any of my local libraries. Like why must you make me suffer? I swear to God, humanity has died down- the poem written by Ollie in the beginning of each chapter. these were so beautiful (and this is an understatement btw) and they were one of the highlights in this book. I will NEVER forget the story of Ollie, Mia, and their Evermore. I am extremely sad to see their story end BUT, it looks like Ethan will be getting his own story next and I must admit I’m VERY intrigued to see where Fiorina takes his character next. Their love is indescribable, although Ollie tries his hardest to put it into words through his poetry. When I think of soulmates, I think of Mia and Ollie. There is no other word for the two of them. It never ceases to amaze me how absolutely devoted these two are to one another. Now Open Your Eyes is the conclusion of Mia and Ollie’s epic romance and their story wraps up with a heart-stopping ending and a bittersweet epilogue.
