Due to it's unique design it's perfect for eBikes that don't have much space inside the motor. This chip is preset to give riders a 40kmh derestriction. If you're looking for a chip that offers great performance, reliability and easy installation. We recommend the VOLspeed, it allows a derestriction up to 45kmh (28mph). This has been set by the manufacturer to reduce the risk of error codes. However, riders can choose to increase the max speed if they wish. The VOLspeed V3 tuning chip is a great option for Bosch eBike owners. It is compatible with all Bosch eBikes from 2014 - 2021 meaning that it can be used on a huge variety of different Bosch motors. Good news if you are currently on a 2018 Bosch Active Line but have plans to upgrade to Gen 4 in the future! Features A few words about the eMTB mode and the TOUR+ mode: In these two modes, the level of support changes with the pedal force. For example, the support in eMTB mode is not a constant 210%, but can also be significantly lower at low pedal torque, but also significantly higher at higher torque. If your bike is equipped with the eMTB mode or also with the TOUR+ mode, you can specifically switch off these modes by activating the alternative mode.
Changes in the product range
We are constantly evaluating the functionality of our tuning modules with the different software versions from Bosch. NEW: Support levels can be configured individually (alternative mode). An individual configuration can be set for each riding level (Turbo, EMTB/Sport, Tour, Eco) - to be precise, the strength of the motor support can be set, even depending on the speed. Of course, the original driving modes are also retained. The alternative driving modes can be conveniently activated while driving using the WALK button, and you can easily switch between the standard and alternative modes (this function is not available with Smartphone Hub and Cobi). The self-set alternative modes can even be combined with the popular "dynamic mode". By the way, the alternative mode is already preset with useful values in each driving level (the support is in each case slightly higher than in the original setting).Setting of a smoother “throttling behaviour” possible (dynamic mode). The otherwise very abrupt cut-off at the speed limit is thus significantly softened. If you set a sensible max speed of 40-45km/h on the VOLspeed V4 or follow the countdown each time on the Speedbox 3.0 you shouldn't have any problems.
