About this deal

He added: “All unresolved murders are subject of assessment every two years. If there is no further action which can be taken at that time the case is deferred. Following assessment the cases are either subject of detailed review, a forensic review or deferred again.”

About the time of Louise’s disappearance, Tobin was living a few miles down the road in Brighton. By working with the lead Scottish detective who investigated Tobin for the murder of Angelika Kluk in 2006, retired Detective David Swindle, we were able to establish that Tobin was working as a second-hand car dealer at the time and, significantly, was trying to sell a car with a hand-painted door. As Tobin saw out his final days in the hospital, seriously ill with cancer and no doubt in pain, I had no sorrow or pity for him. He was a vile man who gave no thought to his victims or their loved ones when he brutally took their lives. Mahon was arrested when he attempted to collect the bag, his claims the blood had been from meat he had bought as a treat for his dog undermined by the forensic analysis.Mahon did not seek medical help. Instead, he embarked on a brutal cover up. He dismembered her, burnt some body parts in the bungalow fireplace and boiled others. 'Babes in the Wood' Murder

While I believe Tobin is responsible for at least two more murders, I do not believe he is responsible for the killing of three young women in Scotland between 1968 and 1969. He put the body of Morgan, a mother of two, head-first into a homemade incinerator before dumping her remains, the judge was told. The body of Ware, a mother of three, has never been found, but the prosecution believe he used a similar method to dispose of her body. He also drowned her pomeranian dog, Lady, whose remains were found tied to a kettlebell in a pond on Brown’s farm. At the 2018 trial, the prosecution put forward a different timeline. Altman presented evidence that the girls were alive at 6:30p.m. and that Bishop returned to Wild Park. Defence witnesses at the 1987 trial returned as prosecution witnesses in 2018. At this trial, Altman argued the forensic samples taken as "tapings" in 1986 were so carefully handled by the police and preserved by scientists that he could present them as a "time capsule" to prove Bishop's guilt.
