And once I've finished annotating all of these books, I will share with you all why that is. my heart is so full because i was smiling ear to ear reading this. like some, i agree that “imagine me” didn’t give us much closer so when i heard a new book was coming out, i almost ripped off my shirt. Finally, I wanted to talk about how this series managed to fluently cover every possible subject regarding a human’s life and giving me advice. The representation as i mentioned before was magnificently done, the plot twists were mind blowing.
Dynamic Characters: The characters in this series are multidimensional, with their growth and development taking centre stage. You'll find yourself rooting for them, crying with them and celebrating their victories. The author obviously has no experience with the machinations of government given the odd explanations of the way certain aspects of the government is run. For instance at one point the leader of the sector spends significant time complaining about how long correspondence takes and the stress from that but political leaders rarely answer correspondence personally. There are departments of admins to answer letters, set schedules, write speeches, and analyze logs. Only top priorities and big decisions would be brought to the leader directly. My friends worshipped Aaron Warner 24/7 (which later led to me devoting myself to him) and forced me to read the series. I still remember when I started reading Shatter Me and was expecting Aaron to make me go all head over heels for him yet all I got was Adam which was the saddening part.

I grab my nearly useless pen with the very little ink I’ve learned to ration each day and stare at it. Change my mind. Abandon the effort it takes to write things down. Having a cellmate might be okay. Talking to a real human being might make things easier. I practice using my voice, shaping my lips around the familiar words unfamiliar to my mouth. I practice all day. As such, the romance in Shatter Me is all very PG-13. There is no smut or explicitly sexual content.
