About this deal

I don't know what the real deal is, perhaps Sony devices uses the same format but was fixed at one sector size (feel free to share if you know the answer).

As of January 2010 [update], it appeared that Sony had begun to combine support for SD/ SDHC and Memory Stick formats in their products. The bottom row gives the only media option making monetary sense in my opinion for your use case: MS Duo to MS adapter, micro SD to MS Duo adapter, 32GB SDHC micro SD card. It is a rather old adapter which means that you'll pretty likely only find it in used condition on auction sites, and then likely only occasionally. The Expresscard reader Sandisk SDAD-109, for example, will only admit Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, and Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo but none of the full-size variants. This problem has been bugging me for a while and seeing as how no one has really answered i thought i would post the solution. I've even tried this microSD MS PRO Duo Reader with the Sony Memory Stick Duo Adapter for CompactFlash Slot MSAC-MCF1N. So I've been pretty happy collecting microSD's and Memory Stick Duo's to use with my digital cameras, PDA's, MP3 players, and computers.

While 32GB will work fine even in older cameras in my experience, the startup time after changing cards can be excessive. This one probably does not do SDHC but you probably have something for that already in case you need it. A Memory Select version had two 128MB memory banks with a tiny switch for selecting one or the other. Credit is provided by Novuna Personal Finance, a trading style of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. This adapter, which took CR2016 cells for power, served a dual purpose of expanding storage capacity of the Mavica and giving those who did not have an existing Memory Stick drive a means of computer interfacing. High-capacity Memory Sticks such as the 4 GB versions are expensive compared to other types of flash memory such as SD cards and CompactFlash. By the way: once my cards are no longer in active use, I put them in the micro-SD to SDcard adapter they usually come with. With these cards you can increase your storage capacity just by replacing the original card with one of a higher capacity. But I was pleasantly surprised again when I stuck the TransFlash adapter (with the Sony formatted microSD card) into my notebook computer.

With a Memory Stick-capable memory card reader a user can copy the pictures taken with the Sony digital camera to a computer. In 2009, Sony and SanDisk also announced the joint development of an expanded Memory Stick PRO format tentatively named "Memory Stick PRO Format for Extended High Capacity". The Sony a9 III is the world's first full-frame mirrorless camera to feature a global electronic shutter with simultaneous readout. The only advantage the Vaio adapter has is that it becomes part of your laptop if the laptop has an Expresscard slot, and thus you always have it with you.I still have one last issue though : whenever I put a Duo Pro MS into the built in reader, my PC doesn't detect anything.
