Danny Lyon's important first book, a documentary photo-essay on the Chicago Outlaws, a "motorcycle racing club," with texts from interviews with members of the gang.

For this project Lyon photographed and ultimately joined the Chicago Outlaws, a motorcycle racing club more interested in the emerging American biker culture than in winning on the track. With a new introduction by the author, The Bikeriders rides again, capturing like never before the dawn of the counterculture era.
