About this deal

I saw Brian Bilston giving a reading in Grasmere and he was very entertaining and likeable so I would have liked to have enjoyed this book but after about 30 pages this stopped and by 60 pages I was just irritated.

It is indeed mainly these things but with unfathomable pivot tables and blocked dishwasher pumps thrown in. At his monthly poetry club he has developed a crush on fellow cat-lover Liz and a pointed dislike of Toby Salt, a bumptious litterateur whose first collection, This Bridge No Hands Shall Cleave, has proved an unfathomable success. Nobody must find out about this unique gem, because I’m giving it to EVERYONE, and I want to appear clever and discerning.Interspersed with the hilarious, parodic poems that have made his name on Twitter, Diary of a Somebody follows the misadventures of the poet, sometime Casanova and expert procrastinator as he variously pursues love, fame and an unfortunately missing rival.

I am sure that this is because when other people are laughing because someones fallen flat on their face I am going "ouch that must have hurt".It records his comic and dysfunctional relationships with his ex-wife, her new boyfriend, his son, ex brother in law, members of his poetry and book clubs, prospective new girlfriend and finally the police.
