Excellent speakers that are a great improvement on the active speakers I previously had connected with the TV. I have the canton setup in my bedroom with a Samsung T24H390S Smart 24" LED TV and the profile of the canton fits the TV perfectly.I've replaced the remote battery twice but there is no improvement, a promised replacement remote never materialised. As I have had TWO units which have failed in exactly the same way, the first after less than three months, the second after less than 5 months, I have given this unit 1 star as it is impossible to give it less.

I was anticipating something amazing after seeing the reviews of this item - especially on the Which site where it came top of all those that have been tested by them. These are designed to get the best sound out of the sound base with or without a TV placed on top and when placed in a rack. The Playbar has a very nice “speech enhancement” button that does a very good job of emphasising the sound for dialogue, very easily – and it works well. You can also, using the infra red learning options, easily pair functions such as sound volume, on/off, mute, source etc with your TV standard remote.The display only has room for three digits, which feels a little simplistic when dealing with some of the setup menu options but it’s fine otherwise. The only con is that the plugs are rather difficult to get to at the rear, but you only need to fix the cables once. To my ears, The Canton does provide super clarity and 'separation' so that the spoken word or singing isn't battling against 'mushy' ( it's a persoanl technical term!
