About this deal

Nitecore HC68 can be powered by standard 18650 batteries, both with button and flat, although high discharge batteries are recommended to reach and keep high brightness. Note that I don’t have anything that directly compares with this – most of my headlamps are right-angle, and the only other “T” shaped headlamp I have is the Acebeam H40, even though that’s an AA/14500 light. The comfortable headband is fashioned with buckles for easy adjustment to fit the smallest or largest noggins. Nitecore HC68 has a light output of 2,000 lumens and is powered by a 18650 lithium battery that can be recharged via the USB-C port. Then there will be a constant trend for about 2h10m after which the brightness slowly decreases until it turns off.

Opening the box we find inside the flashlight with the included accessories which are: NITECORE 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery (NL1835HP 3,500 mAh), 2x spare O-ring, USB-C charging cable, headband and bracket.Hold down the (+) button for stepless adjustment up to 1800 lumen piercing spotlight or hold down the (-) button for a wide beam up to a 1400 lumen floodlight. The protection circuit will limit the output to 8A even in case of an overrun, while the cells are capable of 10A. If you want to use unprotected cells, that’s doable – I tested this light with a Sony VTC6 and it worked fine.

The NITECORE HC65 UHE Ultra High Triple Output Metal Headlamp features an 8-core ultra high efficiency UHE LED that shines up to 2,000 lumens. As I’ve mentioned in other reviews, my sphere doesn’t seem to play nicely with very floody lights, but the curves between spot and flood look mostly the same – but this time it seems to be fairly accurate, which is nice. The new Nitecore headlamp has a maximum power of 2,000 lumens for an intensity of 10,300cd and covers a maximum distance of 202 meters. Includes: Nitecore NL1835HP 18650 3500mAh li-ion battery, spare o-ring, USB-C charging cable, headband, bracket. You will notice that you will use this head torch for many situations, ranging from camping adventures to carrying out tasks around the house. After fully charging, battery life ranges from 30 minutes on the highest settings to a whopping 800 hours at the lowest setting. In Higher, after switching on, there is a rapid decrease in brightness after about 2 minutes up to 7 minutes where a constant trend begins up to over 2h10m.

From the stand-by mode you end up in the special mode if you press the button twice: two modes of red and flashing light, a white beacon mode and SOS. For reference, here’s a baseline shot, with all the room lights off and almost nothing hitting the sensor. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Bought this as a gift for a naturalist to help them identify some species of lichens and moths so I can't comment on actual use.All in all the HC68 leaves a solid first impression; it feels solid in hand and is, in terms of design, not boring at all. Nitecore’s model HC68 is a rechargeable flashlight incorporating variable brightness wide and narrow beam LEDs that can be worn as a headband.

The HC68 comes with a 3500mAh 18650 protected Nitecore battery, that can be charged with the built in USB C port on the Headlamp body.By rejecting non-essential cookies, Reddit may still use certain cookies to ensure the proper functionality of our platform.
