About this deal

There is no anger from Ferguson, merely dejection that Beckham squandered the chance to become of United's most enduring legends. The experience of defeat, or more particularly the manner in which a leader reacts to it, is an essential part of what makes a winner. The subjective ones include their ability with both feet; their sense of balance; the disciplined fashion in which they take care of their fitness; their attitude towards training; the consistency between games and over multiple seasons; their demonstrated mastery in several different positions; and the way they add flair to any team for which they play.

Sir Alex is a very intelligent individual and the English game will never see the likes of him again. Our unique archives and special collections include a permanent display of personal objects from Sir Alex Ferguson's life.

very often our victories were squeaked out in the last few minutes, after we had drained the life from our opponents. Sir Alex Ferguson's best-selling autobiography has now been updated to offer reflections on events at Manchester United since his retirement as well as his teachings at the Harvard Business School, a night at the Oscars and a boat tour round the Hebrides, where he passed unrecognised. Alex drops names and flits from one character to another with such frequency that all we get is a tantalising insight into these characters. The chapter headings suggest a highlights package of the rows, controversies and personality clashes of the Premier League era. Ferguson also, perhaps predictably, declares that there are no "really top" referees in the modern game, damning them as unfit and "as a group, not doing their job as well as they should be".

Ferguson reveals the details about his life – his upbringing in Govan(now a part of Glasgow), Scotland, his shipbuilding background( something he credited for his approach as a manager) as well as his time as a player and his transition to the managerial side. Keane had been furious about what he felt had been substandard pre-season facilities at Vale de Lobo, Portugal, in 2005 but it all kicked off when he gave his notorious interview to MUTV, in which he slated many of his team-mates including, according to Ferguson, Kieran Richardson, Darren Fletcher, Alan Smith, Edwin van der Sar and Rio Ferdinand. Of course positives don't sell as many papers and in all honestly may not have sold so many copies of the book itself. I enjoyed reading his thoughts about some of the main events in his Manchester United career over the past ten-twelve years or so and the inside stories he had on such influential people at the club such as Roy Keane and Cristiano Ronaldo.Overall, I would highly recommend this book for football fans, people who are not fans of the sport may not derive the same pleasure from it. Beliau seorang manajer yang tegas, piawai membangun tim baik di dalam dan luar lapangan serta memiliki insting yang kuat dalam mengelola klub hingga bisa membawa MU menjadi raksasa Eropa.
