About this deal

Overall, it was like wearing a shoe. Which, to me, was the problem. They felt more like a shoe than an actual slipper and were too bulky for my taste. Looking at it from a slipper aspect, they were warm, comfortable, and fit well. The care instructions say they are machine washable, but I didn't wash them because I felt it could damage the structure of the slipper. If these were less shoe-like and more house slippers, I would have enjoyed them more.

Orthopedic: These slippers are equipped with an orthotic footbed to ensure optimal arch and heel support. Along with comfort, orthopedic styles may improve foot alignment while restoring foot biomechanics.

The shoe’s outsole is one of the most important features to consider for safety and stability. Many slippers are designed with a durable rubber outsole, providing grip and traction to prevent slipping and sliding on a variety of surfaces. If you’re looking for slippers that won’t break the bank and offer comfort, consider the Vonmay. After wearing them for two hours a day during the test, I can confirm that these slippers are very comfortable, thanks to a lot of cushion in the footbed. However, I noticed that when I walked, I sometimes felt the sides of the outsole rubbing against my foot. It wasn't something that caused any discomfort. It was just how the slippers were constructed (or maybe even how I was walking). If your slippers have good support, you can wear them for longer without any pain or discomfort. Wearing them around the house may also have benefits, including keeping your floors clean, providing warmth, ensuring you have good foot support, and most of all, giving you an additional layer of comfort.

If you're looking for slippers that look like boots but provide the comfort of slippers, consider this option from Sorel. The heel and the tongue come up your foot just above ankle height and then drop below your ankle, giving you freedom to move your foot around. If you could have an all-terrain category for slippers, these would be the slippers. These slippers were comfortable right out of the starting gate. They are a let's-get-up-and-go type of slipper. Perfect for those morning walks with the dog, for walking around the house, avoiding the cold tile in the winter, and they're even great right out of the shower or hanging poolside. While some were made of high-quality leather, others relied on popular materials like memory foam for comfort. I looked at the slipper's soles to determine whether they created traction on different surfaces to prevent slipping. The NineCiFun Women's Slip-on Fuzzy House Slippers have a slip-on style that’s perfect for busy mornings, and these were the most undeniably soft slippers we tested. When you slip these on, the faux fur feels like a warm embrace for your feet. Compared to the Uggs, there is no break-in period with these slippers. The faux fur and memory foam insole are thinner than others on this list, but that means the interior won’t matte over time. They are not as supportive as other options because of the thin sole, but they have a thin rubber outsole if you have to run outside, thought we would recommend using these as mostly indoor shoes.

Made with a velvet suede upper and lambswool for cozy comfort, we found that they keep your feet warm during the winter without feeling too hot. A common complaint with some slippers is that the interior lining is too hot for the warmer months. Suede, faux fur, and shearling can cause feet to sweat, which can be uncomfortable when wearing them for long periods. I would like to see this in a leather and shearling version, but that's not to say I disliked this slipper. On the contrary, I enjoyed wearing these slippers and returned to them more often than not. The outsole material should be made of something that will give you traction on various surfaces. I found soft rubber soles like those in the Crocs Classic Lined Clog and Vonmay Men's Slipper to be the best in traction and anti-skid. But in all seriousness, they are great shoes disguised as slippers. A friend of mine has some, and she swears by them, but she only wears them in the house and around the yard. On the other hand, another friend wears them and adorns them with Jibbitz. I get it. They're comfortable. They don't smell (yes, I have been smelling them), and they're worth it. As I'm writing this, I found out that Crocs sells an actual slipper. Something I wasn't aware of when testing started. We'll have to put them to the test in the next round.
