o Buttons - I like the recessed buttons, I only had one incident where the alarm was accidentally enabled (Anybody tell me how that happened as it takes two different buttons to set ) The original Tough Solar power system employs not only sunlight but also light from fluorescent lamps and other sources to recharge the battery and provide ample motive power. Invisible solar cells in the watch convert light into energy and supply all functions. A rechargeable battery provides the necessary capacity for operation in poor light conditions. Whether in Europe, North America and Japan or in the outer reaches of Canada, Central America and China - once the watch has been set to the local time, it receives the relevant signal and shows the correct time wherever you are. In many countries, it also sets itself automatically to summer and winter time.The button tones for using the mode button can be turned off. This means that the watch no longer beeps when switching from one function to another. Preset alarm or countdown timers remain active when the button tones are deactivated. For fans of precision: the countdown timers help you to remember specific or recurring events by giving off an audible signal at a preset time. The time can be set to the nearest minute and up to 24 hours in advance. Ideal for people who need to take medicines every day or those who do interval training. World-time In the list of 48 cities (plus UTC), three cities have been changed. Miami, Toronto, and Santiago were sacrificed, while Kathmandu, Buenos Aires, and Fernando de Noronha were added. Here the first and last are the most important because they led to the availability of two additional time zones. Katmandu lives at GMT +5 3/4 of an hour, and Fernando de Noronha at GMT -2 hours. Both time zones were not available in the old module and made the total number of different time zones grow to 31 in the new one.o Cheapish Band - I like the Barton silicone watch bands as the are soft and supple. The Casio band is a bit stiff. It is durable and we'll see how well it holds up. (I'll replace it with a conversion kit if I ever have band issues) Synthetic resin is the ideal material for wrist straps thanks to its extremely durable and flexible properties. The daily alarm reminds you about recurring events with an acoustic signal at the time you have set. This model has 5 independent alarms for flexible reminders of important appointments.

And even without power save mode or sun, it will still operate for 10 months straight (using it 18 hours a day). So really… don’t fear any power outage here! I actually love this case. I love the vintage vibe and shape it has. And surprisingly enough, it pairs with many outfits and styles without drawing too much attention. The world-time mode directly shows another important improvement of the new module. During the use of a second time-zone in world-time mode, the original home time of the watch remains visible in the display as well. A very useful, almost indispensable function when traveling. In the old module, the abbreviation of the chosen city remained visible (like NYC), but where you are will be something you’ll remember yourself and hasn’t to be kept in the display in my opinion. This feature, of permanent availability of the home time in the display, shows in the stopwatch and timer mode as well. Stopwatch Radio-controlled Watch; Multi band 6 (additional way for time sync. This watch receives time calibration radio signals that keep the displayed time accurate) o Smallish display - Being older, it's not always easy to read all the text, the time is fine but could be bigger and date is mostly readable, but everything else need 2x mag for me o Features - It has a lot of features and with 3 Second light, Timer, Alarm, World Time and water resist that works for me Is it unique?– in the sense that it has its own vibe going on, or has a very distinctive feature or design element.
o Display Real Estate - This goes along with the "Busy Extraneous Text" If they got rid of the unneeded text they could increase the display area. Case size:43 mm case width (including protrusions), 33 mm height (only taking the bezel into account)I don't know if this band style is a Japanese-market thing, but I am not a fan of this flat band that doesn't have the "links" where the band attaches to the module. It looks bloated, and shapeless in comparison to the normal band.
