About this deal

The Anti-Hair Wrap technology also means you can avoid that awful job of cleaning the brush bar after every use. Is the Shark DuoClean Powered Lift-Away Anti-Hair Wrap Plus good value for money?

We haven’t tried this so cannot be 100% how accurate this advise is, but it came straight from the Sharks mouth so to speak I've got the cordless anti-wrap as I have long hair and thought this would be the answer - I love it.” Rated by Mumsnetter mommybear1 Our verdict I have been using a cylinder vacuum cleaner designed by a well-known British engineer. It’s done me proud over the past 7 years. However, as always with technology, it has since been bettered – by both its successors and by alternative brands. Shark is one such alternative that has been making waves and a regular at tech shows I attend. The designs are modern and eye-catching, and the company appears to make real-world claims. Hairy issues The handle is ergonomic for your comfort, and this also means that you are less likely to suffer from sore hands or fingers while cleaning. It’s an improvement on previous Shark upright weights, but it honestly doesn’t feel harder to use. Tech Features

The pet tool also comes in handy, especially for carpeted stairs. It’s compact enough to squeeze into tight corners and the air-powered fins deliver a deep clean. I have the corded anti hair wrap and love it! Much prefer a corded hoover but that's personal preference.” Recommended by Mumsnet user Mamascoven Our verdict We review the Shark AZ910UK DuoClean Vacuum Cleaner with Powered Lift-Away and Anti-Hair Tangle Tech As as result, there’s no loss of suction whether using the vacuum as a traditional upright or as a portable, something that really impressed us in testing. How well does the Shark DuoClean Powered Lift-Away Anti-Hair Wrap Plus vacuum carpets?

You may find the Lift Away rather cumbersome or difficult to use if you have arthritis or mobility issues Remaining consistent with the Shark line, the AZ910UKT uses the standard filtration system that we see across the upright models. The HEPA filter is located near the motor, helping to muffle the sound. This needs to be washed annually, but we prefer every six months. If you suffer from allergies, not only is the mess-free emptying a bonus, but Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal apparently captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens. The Shark AZ950UKT is an XL version. It weighs nearly a kilogram more and the dirt capacity is twice the size at 1.65 litres. This makes it better for bigger homes, as you won’t need to stop and empty it as often.

Pros

While the Lift-Away makes the Shark lighter than other, more traditional, uprights that don't have this feature, it's still fairly heavy to move around, which means that it could be quite tiring to hold for long periods of time. This meant that Alison needed to empty the vacuum after three rounds, on average, of vacuuming the entire house.
