The Talking Heads live extravaganza is coming back to cinemas soon and so here is the soundtrack for the first time on vinyl and includes previously unreleased tracks 'Cities' and 'Big Business/I Zimbra' alongside never-seen-before photos and new essays. Stop Making Sense is a 1984 American concert film featuring a live performance by the American rock band Talking Heads. I have had the luxury of owning both the original Columbia Home Video expanded “Special Edition” VHS tape and Japanese laserdisc, and the only positive I can provide here is that this vinyl edition has a warmer soundstage than the original home video release, which suffers from excessive highs in both the Hi-Fi and PCM soundtracks. Over the last few months he has disarmed packed rooms of rowdy concert goers, leaving them silent as they hold fast to every syllable sung. My only real quibble is the exclusion of Byrne walking on stage at the beginning of Psycho Killer… Cutting out the ‘Hi, I have a tape I want to play.I didn't really know what was going on at the time but it must have made quite a bit of an impression as it comes to mind much more than old editions of Ted Rogers' '3-2-1' and 'Blankety Blank'.
