User Manual (AD110) – Amcrest

In terms of storage on the Amcrest AD410, you really have everything you could want here, you can record locally to the doorbell itself using an SD card, or Amcrest also has a cloud offering for a monthly subscription fee where they have different plans and price points, or a massive feature of this camera is that it supports RTSP meaning you can use it with any NVR you want, or something like Blue Iris and that makes this so powerful and really opens up a ton of options, and that feature alone puts this camera in a very select group. Really glad to see they have given the storage some real thought, they really have kept everyone happy here by making all 3 of these options available. Smart Home IntegrationWith the HOME_ASSISTANT flag set to true, the container will publish discovery messages over MQTT to create several new entities. The container also publishes state changes whenever the doorbell is pressed or motion is detected. As soon as the container is running, you should see the new doorbell device in Home Assistant. Note that the Storage sensors don't work unless you install an SD card in the doorbell. Some use a device attached to the chime to detect if the doorbell was pressed and others may use something else but I really wanted to just make the API work and oh boy did Dahua(cause lets face it this is a Dahua doorbell) did this wonky. The only thing I could find in the API that changes when the doorbell is pressed is http:///cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=getConfig&name=CallInfo

It will automatically switch from Color to B/W if the light is low and B/W to color if some car shining head light to its image sensor. Definitely it's a feature request to developer to have this option enable. Ring PRO suffer the same issue when it first came out but they eventually update the firmware to have it permanently set Color mode at night. Really hope Amcrest look into this 100% Note:The device can be added using the P2P method (using the device's serial number) however, for optimal use it is highly recommended to use the IP/Domain connection type when connecting your Amcrest Smart Home device to Amcrest Surveillance Pro. Blue Iris works best when the FPS and the iframes match. Now this is a ratio, so it should be a 1 if it matches the FPS. The iframes not matching (that you cannot fix or change with a reolink) is why they miss motion in Blue Iris and why people have problems. This is mainly why people are having issues with these cameras and there are many threads showing the issues people have with this manufacturer and Blue Iris. It is these same games that make the camera look great as a still image or video but turn to crap once motion is introduced.
