About this deal
Some years earlier, I’d had a little correspondence with Martin Dawes, then the much loved and respected food critic for the Sheffield Star newspaper. To provide balance to this review, we all really enjoyed the food which was beautifully presented and very tasty. Myself and Lemmy; our regular dining partners Martin and Sue Dawes and Bruno Saverio and Ester Celva owners of said Vero Gusto. Now that’s what caught my attention because at that point I was going for the duck but was mentally grumbling I’d have to pay extra for spuds. A slight hint of a double take from Saverio when he realised we were all together but soon, we were enjoying food that really did blow my socks off and was worth every single penny and some.
We cater to both lunch and dinner, and our menu features an extensive selection of irresistible dishes to choose from. Quietly nestled between the cobbled streets of Sheffield City Centre, VeroGusto has stolen the hearts of all South Yorkshire’s fine-dining fanatics.
The meat had held together but the texture was so soft and tender you could have sucked it up through a straw.
Il Vero Gusto Italiano Ltd is an active company incorporated on 30 March 2022 with the registered office located in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. It’s amazing how three sets of people can be brought together by a place or event, however long it may take or unlikely it seems at the time. But tonight is my wife’s birthday and we are celebrating with friends Craig and Marie Harris, fellow foodies, Italophiles and bloggers. And just to make me feel that nothing ever really changes too much, we were, once again, the last to leave. So it was that on the 22nd July 2020 almost 12 years since we’d first discovered it independently of each other, the four of us walked through the doors of Vero Gusto together, for the first time.
