About this deal

Beyond the Black Spiced Rum, several other limited editions are available, such as the Kraken 40% Ceramic Rum.

We reckon the boxes may have been lost at sea, only to be found, after numerous attempts by various aquatic life forms, to get inside the box! It features the victorian drinking jug design common to the Kraken brand, and a corked stopper as opposed to the usual screw top you find on most rum bottles.

To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. Kraken, being kraken, is one of the best rums available on the market, and so the taste and quality of the rum definitely doesn't disappoint either. Can’t help but feel a little underwhelmed by this “limited” edition kraken, compared with the previous years this really doesn’t hit the mark, they were always a Wade ceramic and now yes they are dark glass but other than that nothing jumps out from the normal clear glass, I’ll keep it for the collection but half of me says send it right back for a refund as definitely not worth the money.

Relics of vessels and their cargo, believed to have been hijacked by the Kraken, nestle amongst the oceanic trenches, shrouded by thick smoke from the seabed’s fiery vents. Taking the dark story of Kraken to new lengths, the bottle is housed well designed metal divers cage (with scratch marks for added realism). People often use it in baking and cooking to add depth and warmth to dishes such as rum-infused cakes, sauces, and marinades. Its rich, spicy undertones make it a popular choice for classic cocktails like the Dark and Stormy, where its unique flavour enhances the overall taste experience. Well, not only is it filled with Kraken’s signature Caribbean spiced rum, known from Timbuktu to Thurso, but this Unknown Deep Bioluminescence bottle is luminescent like a sea creature of the deepest depths!

It’s name is taken from a legendary sea monster of gigantic proportions, known to feed on whales, ships and men. The palate is full of rich sticky molasses, with big hits of cinnamon, syrup, and a toasted oakiness. The bottle is lovely and worth keeping and I’m sure others have already mentioned using it for a candle light.
