This delightful book is a treat for those who have an interest in art, England, or for those who simply wish to understand the mind of Prince Charles a little better. On the whole, this is a wonderful book that will inspire you with its artwork, and keep you laughing along the way as well with bits of Prince Charles's humor. He also realised that painting is rather hard, especially in watercolours, and admits that some of his early works are rather dreadful. I and my wife only wish we could afford some of his real works but for now this picture book of some of his works will do.The large prints of the water colors each have a description of how and where the prince painted the scene that is wonderfully written by the prince himself and gives a marvelous glimpse of prince Charles hobby and considerable skills. Instead, I wanted to accurately show the techniques used by The Prince in a tapestry, to represent the idea of the layers of colour he used and the quick strokes he applied. Among his many philanthropic and environmental endeavors are the Prince’s Trust and the Prince’s Rainforest Project. He also addresses some of the problems he had along the way with his artwork, such as rain and the "gentlemen of the press" getting in the way of artistic expression!
