The H6PRO is a brand new (as of October 7th, 2021) premium gaming headset for the discerning gamer that appreciates precise, high performance audio matched with lightweight comfort for long gaming sessions. It delivers exceptional audio clarity and immersion through passive isolation, a crisp detachable mic, and a lightweight feel. When developing this new model, EPOS took great care to ensure the H6PRO had all of the refinements appreciated by a serious gamer. Overall, besides the differences with each variant that’ll come down to personal preference, there’s very little to complain about when it comes to the H6Pro’s sound design. It’s simply one of the best in this department at its mid-range price point. It's worth mentioning that EPOS has a strong commitment to durability and runs every headset through a series of exhaustive testing. In the event there's a wear problem, many of the components, like the cable, earcups, and microphone boom arm, are all replaceable. That really does mean I haven’t got a bad word to say about the EPOS H6PRO headset. If you’re in the market for a wired option, have the cash to splash and want some of the best comfort, stylings and audio you can get, you should be going out and buying the H6PRO immediately. It’s that good.
Thus, if you're really keen to get some Sennheiser audio quality into your setup but can't stretch to the larger price tags of the more premium headsets, then the GSP 300 is the right choice. Its compatibility with every device is a major plus, while it retains the Sennheiser excellence in audio (detailed sound, excellent surround/directional accuracy, and great overall richness). Its microphone is good too, though this won't be great for mobile players or for the commute as the mic is non-detachable and a little wobbly on the design front. The latter being a little weak point on the headset overall, actually, as it feels a bit wobbly in the hands. As far as gaming headsets go. These are incredible. No they aren’t audiophile but I tested them with my 58x and to my ear there is little difference. The hd58x are slightly more clear. I don’t know where the hate comes from with these. Perhaps it’s the closed variant but open are amazing. It's worth noting that while they do come with an in-built microphone, this only works when you’re connected through Bluetooth - not the USB-C dongle. That’s because the dongle is focused on providing low-latency audio, so there is minimal disruption between what’s happening in your game and what you’re hearing. However, it does mean that you won’t be able to communicate with team-mates online.When it comes to hearing and being heard, the H6Pro shines. I especially liked the open acoustic design as it kept me engaged with my surroundings without taking me out of the action. Unfortunately, my gaming sessions with this headset were always short lived due to its tight fit. The 2-axis hinge is supposed to help the H6Pro conform to your head. The mechanism doesn’t seem to actually give very much though, resulting in a ton of pressure; I had to remove my glasses at one point because of the pain from the cups being pressed against my skull. This might not be an issue for everyone, but for me at least, despite having memory foam covered cups and a somewhat flexible frame, the H6Pro was very uncomfortable to wear. Epos H6Pro – Purchasing Guide Although the GSP 370s make it somewhat hard to truly, truly go for the more expensive 670, if you're after supreme Sennheiser quality, then this is the headset for you. Its performance across games of any stripe, as well as media, is supreme. In any game, it doesn't matter what's going on or what the scenario or surroundings are, the GSP 670s will give you world-beating audio clarity, depth, breadth, and detail.
All in, the fact remains that the GSP 670 is one of the best Sennheiser gaming headsets - and a seriously excellent gaming headset, period. Make sure the cable is pushed in... hard. If you are only getting audio from a single earcup or the audio is distorted, make sure you really push the cable as far as it goes into the headset.At World Wide Stereo, there's not a whole lot that we take more seriously than sound reproduction and the truly stunning immersive experience that a killer system can evoke. Gaming is a category that we've dabbled in over the years, but we're only lately really committing to the category. We've got some serious gamers on our team with discerning taste for sound clarity and visual imagery and we're excited by the new breed of high performance gear. What this means is that, as long as I’m in party chat on a PS4/5, I can separate chat from in-game sounds. This also works if I empathize in-game chat over my party. But this effect stops working when I leave a party. On my Xbox One and Xbox Series X though, the mixer controls all chat. No matter where I am or what game I’m playing, I’m able to tweak what sounds are heard. All of this would be negated if the H6Pro had exterior functions that could adjust these settings by itself. Ultimately I chose these over my 58x. I got tired of not having a mic on my actual header. Modmic was not that great as it added even more wires. There is one wire with the H6pro. It literally offers the best balance as far as sound, aesthetics, build, comfort, convenience and all with a detachable mic that adds no clutter. In a way, yes. But in another way, no. There's a little bit of history between the brand names and how it's all come to be under just the EPOS name now, but the bottom line is that Sennheiser's gaming audio has been folded into EPOS now - and the pedigree remains there.
Meanwhile, the open headset allows noise to enter the headset while you’re gaming, so you can still hear what’s happening around you, with EPOS saying it’s better for cinematic gaming. Sound quality and microphone

The earcups are nearly bare; besides the boom mic and a large circular volume dial, there aren’t any external buttons or switches. This helps in providing seamless lines, where the aesthetics bleed into one another for an overall uniformed appearance. There are some bits that stand out though. For instance, the left cup features a magnetized surface that secures either the detachable mic or a metal plated cover. Below that is where the headset’s cables connect – either a PC cable (that splits into the green/pink headset/mic plugs) or a 3.5mm cable for console and mobile device use. The right cup sports the volume dial that, without its slightly raised notches, would otherwise go unnoticed.
