About this deal

The Parrot MKi9200 is also gifted for music. Supplied with a specific cable, it is compatible with all music sources, such as iPods, iPhones, USB flash drives, Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) phones, MP3 players and any other analogue players. The Parrot MKi9200 also features an SDHC-compatible SD card reader on the side of the screen. Some early versions of the MKi9200 will require an interim update to V1.96 to be performed first, so you will need this file and also V2.11 or V2.20. If your software version is V1.95 or less you MUST update to V1.96 first. From version 2.00 software the MKi series support “multipoint”– this allows the connection of 2 phones at the same time and is enabled in the Bluetooth settings. Please note that the remote control MUST be able to be used with the MKi9200. If the remote does not work you will not be able to reset the MKi9200. All MKi remotes contain a CR2032 battery and it is common for people to forget to change them – they typically last a year to 18 months in normal use.

You can also directly access the phonebook and browse all the names thanks to the voice synthesis (Text To Speech). So simple!Last week my iphone7 went to be swapped due to a fault and since then the new one won’t pair with the Parrot correctly. It will say Telephone connected on the Parrot screen, on the iPhone it will look like it has paired but if I look on the Parrot it won’t show as a paired device and will only be able to be used for phone calls not media. The MKi series offer the widest compatibility with existing and future Bluetooth mobile phones, thanks to its full compatibility with the Bluetooth wireless communication protocol. After it turns on again you will need to set ring volume ( Settings / Ring Volume) and on the MKi9200 you will need to reset “Sound Stage” Audio effects > Sound stage > Settings > Centre (is recommended by JustCarKits) The MKi9200 displays the full playlist along with the name of the artist, the title and even the corresponding album cover in colour when available on the iPod, iPhone or USB flash drive.

The car's speakers accurately reproduce the caller's voice. The external microphone captures the sound of your voice while filtering out the surrounding noise. In the event of a call, the car radio automatically cuts out to allow for a smooth conversation. The car is a ’02 Jaguar XKR and I wired the Parrot up myself. As stated above, it worked with the old BlueBox SW_3.x fine. Do not bother with version 2.00 firmware as it had bad echo problems on handsfree – these should be updated to V2.11 or V2.20. For some reason it won’t give power to my iPhone via an iPhone USB cable plugged into the Parrot USB cable. This has worked on the V 3 box fine and I would get music playing via usb cable etc. (better sound).

A wireless remote control can be positioned on the steering wheel or dashboard and allows the driver to control all the functions of the MKi9200. When users get in their car, they start the engine and the kit immediately connects to their mobile phone. After re-start, go into Settings / Bluetooth and search for the handsfree kit (MKi9000 / MKi9100 / MKi9200) and then pair again. Pass code is 0000. Would recommend that you leave it to try to complete the update for a further 10 mins. After this period you can only try the following: Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post this but I had an issue with a MKI9200 V3 blue box where the Mic stopped working. Everything else worked fine. Tried a new Mic still no sound so I got another Blue box. This one was a bit older V2 with V 2.11 firmware on it. I just connected it up to the existing cables and did a factory reset and all good except for one issue.
